I know signing Punk and/or Bryan is huge news, but I really wish they would have kept it a secret. It would've made for an amazing "holy sh*t!" moment. I'd laugh if it was just a huge swerve, though. I think it’s going to boost ratings and PPV buys then get an additional bump post-debuts. It’s only increasing my hype for All Out

Idk why but it hurts seeing Punk and Bryan sign with AEW after growing up with them in WWE Bryan, I'm not really bothered about - but in Punk's case, I don't like it one little bit. Of course, it doesn't help that I couldn't give a you-know-what about AEW, and am sick of the sight of that super-mark, geek owner... But, it also doesn't make sense to me, because he doesn't really fit in, has no history there and all the best, potential, most wanted/never seen before, matchups - eg Styles, Joe, Balor, Escobar, Kushida, Knight, Cole, Kross, Lee, Riddle, Rollins, Zayn, McIntyre, Owens and Reigns (and of course Heyman) are in the WWE - not in AEW. There is also unfinished business, concerning the main-eventing of Wrestlemania. Whatever he might do there won't mean anything - because the company itself doesn't mean anything. Winning the AEW championship won't mean anything, because it's a two year old title, which has no meaning. It's the worst case scenario from my pov... my fave wrestler - and someone I've been emotionally invested in for years, signing with a company I couldn't care less about, and have no emotional investment in, whatsoever. I honestly didn't think he would go small-time, and actually waste his long-awaited return on bootleg WCW.

AEW has all the creative potential, free of outdated and corporate mandated policies, to make this something huge.

I just wish Samoa Joe signed with AEW instead.
We could of actually got Joe / Punk one last time.

Week 2: Punk is spraying mustard at Rollins Week 3: Punk shows up with an oversized cowboy hat Week 4: Punk steals Rollins’ clothes, goes through his bag and finds his “ass cream” Week 5: Below average match against Rollins. Every vocal Connecticut fed fan calls it a MOTY contender. Week 6: Punk (in a disguise) rolls up R-Truth and wins the 24/7 title. Every lapsed fan that came back to watch bails and the ratings go back down. THERE. Spoilers of what could have been for every person upset Punk might not come back to the northeastern territory.

I’m honestly not sure how people can complain over and over and over again about how WWE mismanaged talent as a bodily function, but then continue to have them in the highest regard for how to handle talent.

I’m honestly not sure how people can complain over and over and over again about how WWE mismanaged talent as a bodily function, but then continue to have them in the highest regard for how to handle talent. They’ve been brainwashed Yea, and I mean that’s a real thing dude. Wait until they find out it’s the same show, with the same segments every week, they just interchange the pieces. AEW is what it is, is it the best wrestling program EVER!? No, but neither was the WWF in 1993, or 1996 or 2002…but it was at least enjoyable and worth the watch. WWE, It’s unwatchable. If you can’t figure out the show starts with a in ring promo, goes to a backstage segment IN THE SAME ROOM, with the people all facing the camera standing in the designated boxes, goes to a match and then the program ends with the heel standing over the baby face…you’re just not paying attention! I have been on and off with AEW, but anytime I do watch it, it’s at least watchable. A lot of the times, it’s pretty damn good. Wrestling has never seemed better than what preceded it. New Generation wasn’t thought of as better than the Golden Era, the Attitude Era, although widely liked on a mainstream level, as a wrestling show fans preferred the New Generation. The RA era, wasn’t as good as the Attitude Era…this has always been a thing with wrestling. If it’s watchable, that means some day, it’ll be looked back on fondly. WWE for over a decade has been unwatchable, so much so that when I talk about my favorite WrestleManias, I only count up to 30 because that’s the last one I can distinguish.

You forgot week 7 where Stephanie comes out and verbally emasculates Punk with no recourse.

Now book him in the Jacksonville territory. I might take a stab at that for fun, but it’s way harder to consider due to the fact that punk is 100% getting a lot of creative control on this and so anything that could be predicted by AEW booking may be out the window.

Which has me more excited about him coming in I'm far more excited about Bryan, but the part about punk coming in that gets me excited is some of the people it's going to piss off 😂. There are some crazy Punk matches no one would ever have expected to see though. And you wanna talk about elevation home grown talent, the guys that punk and Bryan put over when the time is right, man. Instant star credibility.

It'll be interesting to see how many die hard WWE fanboys who screamed CM Punk's name for years but sh*t on AEW every chance they get tune in to see their boy (if he signs)?

I mean, that’s why he’s (allegedly) signed. The goal is to grow your audience. I’m not gonna run off new viewers (unless they just b*tch about everything. I have little tolerance for that)
