and thats fine. however your still getting a blue base , that most people will not be able to get past. your gonna get complaints that its not accurate with a attitude set up, etc. etc... and yoru still asking people to buy a new ring regardless. and again most people who have figures have it already...and cages and such are something people barely use on every play or photo time. its like war games...cool set, but are you really using war games matches every time you play or take photos? not really. Yeah I mean if it’s not for you it’s not for you. I want another ring because to this day, no one has really made a great ring imo. They all have major flaws thus far. This seems to be the first one that nails it. I personally would have preferred a Raw Is War ring, but this is the next best thing. I love you. yea i do like the retooled ring. so im not trying to donwplay it. and ill agree with you also the other rings have flaws. and... i love you too.

I think when this gets backed what Mattel could do with future offerings is have different backing options, so if you back this and have the ring you can back a different packaging that doesn't include a ring, and for those that didn't back this they can offer a ring with whatever the next backing is.
With people saying an attitude era entrance, I feel like no matter what people are going to find something to complain about even if it was an Attitude era thing. It would be either the price point, or the WWE logo and not WWF. People will find away to complain.

Anyone else thought about what happens if you get this delivered and there's something wrong with a part...like, how would you go about getting it fixed if there's technically no additional stock anywhere? Like if a ring post snapped or something...how would it get fixed?

Like if a ring post snapped or something...how would it get fixed? I’d have to believe Mattel would have to order a few hundred extra parts just for this eventuality.

I mean they'll definitely need to be aware that a lot of the same people who are backing this project will already have rings and will likely not support future projects if you have to buy another ring. But at the same time, you also don't want to box out any potential new supporters/customers by not including a ring. Offering two campaigns would be the way to go, but logistically that could be hard for them who knows. One campaign would include no ring and ringskirts and another campaign would include the ring and ringskirts. My biggest wants moving forward would be: Raw 1997 Raw 2002 (industrial set) Smackdown 1999 (debut) Smackdown Fist WCW Nitro

I’m still not liking that I was charged this morning for it. Are you sure? I’ve backed 2. One they took payment for (back when they said they wouldn’t take payments but did anyway). But the other they haven’t charged for yet which I ordered last week.

Wish PayPal was a payment option. Still on the fence when I really only want the figures I don't understand why PayPal isn't integrated into the site. Very poor move by Mattel IMO. It's possible that it was Paypal's decision to not let Mattel use. A buyer only has 180 days to open a claim when using Paypal. Since Mattel wont be fullfilling the order within those 180 days maybe Paypal had the buyer's interest in mind.

Really only the Major WF Pod. The other Youtubers bought followers which is why none of them have a YouTube plaque. Lots of instagram self proclaimed influencers like Alex bought followers too. It’s not hard to do. I’m not knocking them because it obviously worked to get a code but it shows just how small this community really is. No one has a legitimate following minus the Major Bros. MyDamnToys kinda seems suspicious also. I don't really watch any of his videos other than his fixup videos, but he has like 300K subs and most of his videos get less than 10K views. Definitely seems sus. If he was legit he would have or show his YouTube plague but he won’t because he doesn’t have one. You only get one after 100,000 legit followers.

He's said this on every podcast he's done. It also looks like Robert did the podcast circuit today. I'm listening to the second of the potentially three interviews he's done. While on the Fig Cave Podcast Robert stated: - They chose the New Gen theme because of the affection collectors had for retros and wanting a lot of characters from that era and this arena fit cost for what they wanted to achieve.
- AE Raw, SD Fist or modern sets wouldn't have been cost effective, would've been massive and cost 2x as much for us, but he hopes people will have an appetite for those potential offerings.
- They didn't capitalize on the initial reaction and that was a mistake. He realizes they should've announced it and immediately put it up for sale.
- THEY HEAR US, THE MESSAGE HAS BEEN HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR. This offering is what it is, but they now know what we want as collectors, and what they can offer and at what price.
What that last part means is we know what you want and know that we probably can't and won't make it because you are too cheap. That has always been the stigma around wrestling fans. WWE has worked tremendously hard to change that narrative and get high-end brands to sponsor events. We saw it briefly with Kay Jewelers promoting a few shows, Ford, and Coke Cola but advertisers say we don't spend money. 🤷🏽♂️ I'm still hopeful. The momentum on this project picked up steam overnight. We're going to make it whether we blow past 5k or limp there.

It's a epic fail due to Mattel focuses only to Usa market..A lot of european and asian collectors want to buy this bundle, but they dont wanna pay a lot of money for international shipping and CUSTOMS.
I would like to see what ActionFigureAttack thinks about this failing strategy (and others like lines for only usa stores).

Of course they're going to focus on that market.

Less than RSC charges for a single Ultimate. Mattel can’t do anything about customs and for all we know we may get away without paying customs depending on how they’re shipped.

Not in this scenario people keep proposing - if a 3rd party bought 1,000 of these to reach the 5K, that's 1,000 units that would have previously went unsold to actual buyers. If people weren't willing to buy those last 1K to get to 5K, what makes you think they'll all of the sudden want it after the fact? Dude where are you coming up with this logic? There have been COUNTLESS figures and playsets from a multitude of different companies that didn’t sell initially and in some cases made it to Big Lots, and then skyrocketed as soon as they weren’t widely available anymore. What on earth makes you think this would be any different? The Ultimate line is on fire right now and the resale value for most of them turns insane within the same calendar year. If this somehow gets funded, the Ultimates alone (not even including Doink btw) will cover the buy in on this whole set before you know it. I love you. The only thing I’d say different is the price on this Ultimates are $30 in the states? And they go for like $100-$150 online depending on rarity, desirability etc. So like a 3x to 5x mark up. I can’t see people spending $750 to $1250 for this. So while there will likely be some sort of secondary market for this it won’t likely be on the same % increase on the dollar based on how much that would be. I could see down the line someone not collecting now wanting to jump in at maybe $300-$350

I'm fairly certain that I'd read that anyone can order this. International shipping and customs is the name of the game for anybody buying from overseas vendors. I'm not about to dunk on the guy who makes my ASCs because he's based in China and it costs an arm and a leg to get from there to here. EDIT: damn, maybe I should dunk on my boi. Shipping for this set to Italy is a whopping $15. Cost me $90 to get my last ASC into the States.
