Does Doink need to be ultimate tho? Wouldn’t an elite with the evil head and jacket be fine? it would be for me, from the interview it seems like they just got back the rights to Doink, so i'm hoping we see another elite in an upcoming wave |

i wonder if the question should be asked , why not extend everything? but i know companies plan for deadlines. i guess this is prob under that curtain. its too bad, i think another 2 weeks at least , itll get well over 5k. espec if they extend the deadline on Macho. and it makes Doink much more unlockable..

They’re not gonna make a WM1 jobber or WCW Big Josh over another Doink. Especially after the time and money they spent designing new pieces for him. They’re gonna try and salvage what they can. |

While it’s not impossible for them to extend the deadline (probably even likely), you also gotta factor in the additional costs of resources for that time period. Say they extend it two weeks. That’s the cost of people’s salaries that are working on it at a minimum. There’s a cost/benefit to consider. Is the juice worth the squeeze? A phrase I often use at work is “Let’s not spend a dollar chasing a penny.” Having said that, I would be surprised if they did extend it. They certainly wouldn’t say that right now though. They’d wait until the last possible moment. They want people to back it now. |

Here's my thinking on the "re-sell" subject:
Anyone willing to pay *ANY* sort of inflated secondary market price for any portion of this product....Would be the type of person *well aware of the project* and ready to fork over the $250 to hop on while it's being crowd-funded.
Why would anyone pay $100-$250 for a Doink Ultimate on the secondary market, when the only people willing to pay that high of a price...WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN IN THE CROWD-FUND!? You'll be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't know about the Doink available with the crowd-fund, that is willing to pay a high markup on him.
Same goes for Diesel and Macho. If people buying these on eBay are CLEARLY avid collectors....then chances are, a massive % of them are in the crowd-fund. Why pay $100- $250 for an Ultimate in a year when you can get the whole ring package for virtually the same price?
The only people willing to pay any kind of marked-up price, are the ones simply unaware of the crowd-fund when it was live....and again, the type of person *unaware of the project* is very likely to be someone disinterested in inflated prices. So that mostly cancels itself out.
The re-sell idea is not a good one. These aren't going for a markup any time soon after release. Plan on waiting years if you have sights set on getting $400+ for this thing.
You are forgetting or ignoring two different groups of people. New collectors who come aboard between now and next year when this comes out. And people who might not necessarily have the money to pay for it now but will have additional money next year for whatever reason. Ask yourself an honest question, how many NEW collectors are gonna have a big interest on something New Gen, when even amongst current collectors who have probably been collecting for years it has fairly low interest. |

Everyone has different reasons, I get why people want to re-sell for money. Me personally, I loved Macho Man and I've been waiting for this figure Wrestlemania X gear for a LONG time even asked Steve about this last year if we would ever see this gear. This is a figure I will cherish and not sell. But to each their own. I like this for wrestling memory sake but I'd rather this happens if possible.

This should be a hobby of fans and collectors not scalpers So people who become fans and collectors after this 30 day period (or can't afford it at the moment) should not be able to purchase it on the secondary market? There's not a limited number of these sets, so "scalping" is a totally useless thing to care about. You can't control what other people decide to do with their money. |
