I just don’t think it’s going to reach that 5000 mark unless someone like Ringside steps in and drops some serious money on buying out the remaining sets. Mattel has reached its hardcore audience. It seems as though many have ordered multiples and/or plan to try and sell parts of the set (creating competition on e bay and such). With a little over a week to go, it is going to need a really strong push from other people/places. Things like that Nash tweet are helpful it seems but I’m honestly stumped over where else they can reach out to outside of being featured prominently on the front page of WWE.com

I'm backing two today. I've been convinced. Let's get that Doink!

I will be a little disappointed if we don't see Doink. It's still a great package, and with Macho a great value for money. But knowing we could have had more and it being potentially the best figure of the 3 will be a bittersweet feeling the day everything is in your hands. I'm not really fussed about the ringskirts, but that Doink. Man is that a work of art. lol I’m in the extreme minority that would rather have more ring skirts than Doink. I mean… It’s In Your House AND Wrestlemania! I guess the ring skirts only provide an alternative item to display (unless you specifically back multiple rings to display each of the different events?) whereas Doink is a true extra.

I feel like when all is said and done if we’re not at 5k we will be close enough that Mattel will extend the deadline a week or 2.
And even without Macho the last week will still see SOME backers. Especially on the last day.

Honestly I think we need to hit 5000 before Macho expires. I don’t see it getting funded otherwise. Anxiety-ridden these next two days will be. I love you. It would not surprise me if they have something else up their sleeves for a final week push. I would like to think there is something there but I don’t know for sure, because how would they keep Macho and add something. I am hopeful they make an announcement to help reach the target even for the 5k. I watched an interview with Steve to the effect it was assumed it would hit 10k right out the gate or something to that effect, so there is a great business lesson out of this regardless of outcome and surely Mattel will have to evaluate what went wrong with this. This is learning for everyone involved that you would see a much better response to what the second Mattel Creations would be, but we need to get this one over the line first. Here’s hoping is all I can say.

Ultimate edition 11 was rumoured to be Nash/Diesel and Nash/Razor. As we know ultimate edition 11 will be Taker and Kane and Diesel is now part of this crowdfunding. So it could be they add Razor to the package when Macho is gone 😅😅

I'm not even sure what any of that proved about what I said regarding new Gen. The only thing remotely relevant was about reselling the ring for $500. New Gen is going to mostly appeal to people 30+ so I cant imagine many people in their 30/40s just beginning to start collecting. I don’t really care about the reselling/scalper stuff, but the general logic here makes no sense. Anyone whose a big enough wrestling fan get into heavily collecting figures will likely care about collecting figures form before “their time”, especially bands as big as Savage and Nash. You think the only people buying 80s figures are 40-50 year olds? I'm 23 and love the New Gen era as a whole because of the New Generation Project Podcast so yeah, young people do actually like stuff from before they were even alive.

Yeah when you see ring set ups you usually only see one side, maybe one side and a corner if from an angle so I’d like to see a ring skirt with all 4 sides different so you only need to buy one. I guess that’s why they don’t do that, more ring skirts more profit but feels imo like a bit of a waste

The ring skirts would be the deciding factor on whether I display the ring or store it away. The WW logos all over the standard ring skirt is a huge eyesore for me. They’re not on the WrestleMania ones and the IYH logo draws your attention away from the two on the sides of that one.

The two largest ones being charging people up front was dumb and they shouldn't have waited to start the campaign, it should have been announced and started the same day to capitalize off the hype. That said I also think the value was there pre-Macho, just now with the Macho it's just insanse.

I’m waiting for collectors to begin knocking on doors, talking about how this crowdfunded item will appreciate.

Not just WWE either. A lot of us collect other brands and probably dropped a few hundred dollars by the time the crowdfunding launched. A lot of people were taking a hard look at their budgets and analyzing this with more scrutiny instead of a quick impulse buy if it had launched say Summerslam weekend.

We’ve had some good momentum the past day or so. Way past 57% now. I think we could reasonably be in the 75% range once macho expires.
I think it’ll hit 60% today.

I’m waiting for collectors to begin knocking on doors, talking about how this crowdfunded item will appreciate. “Have you heard about the latest investment opportunity?” Hello, Mr. Specific, how ya doing today? You mailed my company a postcard a few weeks back requesting information on Ultimate Edition figures that had huge upside potential with very little downside. Does that sound familiar? Okay, great. The reason for the call today, Jack, is, something just came across my desk, Jack. It is perhaps the best thing I've seen in the last six months. If you have sixty seconds, I'd like to share the idea with you. You got a minute? The name of the set, the WWE Ultimate Edition New Generation Arena. It is a cutting edge, high tech playset from Mattel Creations awaiting imminent crowd funding on a New Generation ring, LED entrance, and figures that have huge primary and secondary market demand now! Right now, Jack, the set retails at two hundred and fifty dollars a set. And by the way, Jack, our analysts indicate that it could go a heck of a lot higher than that. Your profit on a mere two hundred and fifty dollar investment would be upwards of two hundred and fifty thousand! Exactly! You could pay off your mortgage. Jack, one thing I can promise you, even in this market, is that I never ask my clients to judge me on my winners. I ask them to judge me on my shelf-warmers because I have so few. And in the case of the WWE Ultimate Edition New Generation Arena, based on every Ultimate Edition out there, Jack, we are looking at a grand slam home run.

Fantastic point! 100% in agreement. Yea with so many pre orders and this huge item in addition people essentially had to pick and choose what they wanted. People only have so much income and timing was definitely a factor.
