Launching at SDCC I think was a huge blunder. Several orders and preorders went up during that time. Not just WWE either. A lot of us collect other brands and probably dropped a few hundred dollars by the time the crowdfunding launched. A lot of people were taking a hard look at their budgets and analyzing this with more scrutiny instead of a quick impulse buy if it had launched say Summerslam weekend. Dude you have blown my mind! Fantastic point! 100% in agreement. Yea with so many pre orders and this huge item in addition people essentially had to pick and choose what they wanted. People only have so much income and timing was definitely a factor. Yeah I can see a lot of people talking themselves out of getting this and looking for reasons not to back it due to how much money they already spent recently plus how much they were planning to spend based on what was revealed. Likely why we saw less hype and more scrutiny. Perfect time would be late August/early September during that lull in between SDCC and Ringside Fest where people are starting to get antsy for that next big reveal. |

i backed it today I'm expecting tomorrow to be a big day a lot of people get paid on Fridays and can set the money aside as well as it being the last day the macho promo is going, quick question tho if we do somehow hit 6k how will it all be packed will the ultimate's be in the original packaging

- Doink will not be dropped down to 5k. This is the package for the New Gen Arena. They got creative to be able to add Macho.
He expects the campaign to succeed with two big pushes, one this Friday and next weeks push for Doink. If Macho gets them to 60-65%, they'll be in good shape (when they recorded this podcast they were in the 40% range.)
- The Funeral Parlor, Snake Pit and Pipers Pit are some ideas that were thrown around for what COULD be next. He got really excited about the prospect of what they could present with the Funeral Parlor - like an updated Bearer and Mattel's take on a coffin.
- It's looking as if Ultimate Macho Man WMX will be in the 1 of 3000-4000 range. They make significantly more than that, even for exclusives.

2,904 - 58% funded. BIG jump in the last few minutes it seemed like; 10 or more I think as I'd just refreshed, and then waited a few minutes to see how close it was to passing 2,900 but I was way behind by then  Edit: 2,908 now |

I just don’t understand the logic to assume that once Macho promo ends, that the current pace of backers will be maintained. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. I don’t know if it’s marketing strategy, wishful thinking or ignorance at this point. I sure hope he is right, but I just don’t see it. If Macho gets us to 4K, Maybe it Limps across the line to 5k (Maybe). Doink is not happening, unless there is another add on figure to replace Macho after the 13th. |

Now they’re speaking my language. With respect to New Gen fans, I wish they would have just gone Golden Era with this. I think there was more potential to grab non-WWE collectors who are still ‘80s marks. Regarding Macho, I have to think they’ll extend him to the end. I agree with everyone else who says interest will drop dead without him. |

I wouldn’t. While Macho is definitely a nice-to-have, you have to look at all the people that wanted the whole package still. Outside of the Macho, there's a lot to offer in this. There are also some people that may have not seen/heard about this (more casual collectors/fans) that will see this after tomorrow and back it. I agree that Macho is a big draw and is giving us good numbers, but I don't think this is dead-in-the-water after tomorrow's early-bird ends like others do. |

Folks are questioning what's the incentive to keeping buying after the Macho exclusive ends and it's Doink. And judging by some replies in this thread, it's a figure a lot of people want. Also people are forgetting, the 15th is a payday. Folks who can't afford to pick it up now still have an opportunity to push this towards Doink next week. This Macho Man will be our grail figure. |

The talk show idea is super exciting to me. If it was a bundle of talk show sets I would be down on day one. Funeral parlor, pipers pit, barber shop with breakaway window, brother love show with exclusive brother love? Oh man. I would love a warrior themed casket but after his death it would be in bad taste. Still super cool moment to recreate. The figures and tiers would be interesting. Barbershop host beefcake with the crazy tights, black leather jacket shawn, exclusive piper. So many options. |

Announcing the stretch goals before they hit their initial target was also a mistake. This thing becomes devalued in a lot of people’s mind if they’re not getting Doink. Wouldn’t have been an issue had it never been mentioned until 5K was hit. Wait until you reach that number and it becomes extra incentive to get more backers instead of having people wanting everything or nothing.
