Too many people are standing on the sidelines and claiming they won't buy unless it gets funded. Basically the bystander effect, dooming the project.

I’m torn, I think it’s odd that their first project of this is probably the least collected era. They should have made a Attitude Era 1998 set. Same Ring with Raw is War skirts and red ropes. The Ultimate Edition Undertaker we were just shown at SDCC 21 and the Rumble , Mania and KOTR entrance that was used for all 3 events. Tier 2 could have been the Kane and Tier 3 could be same skirts. Just think more people collect attitude and golden era then the New Generation.
Laying $250 down for something we may or may not get…..a year from now is a hard sell. I’ll prob decide in the last day or so.
ALSO I’m debating on getting 2 or 3 since I’m positive that the secondary market will be hot for these.

There’s a few issues for me here on this.
Firstly I think anything New Generation is a harder sell - golden and attitude era seem popular but NG falls into a tougher area.
For me I think the entrance way would be an easier sell on its own.
Then I think the ring also is a better item on its own and not with the entrance. I’d have done a ring including both blue and black posts and multiple skirts across golden, NG and Attitude eras.
Also figure wise are Diesel and Doink the best? Not seen anyone asking for these BUT I have seen lots of NG Shawn Michaels requests!
There’s too much going on here based on an era that’s not exactly the most regarded period in WWE history.
Only time will tell if it backs…

They should’ve just done the entrance way and figures, not the ring. every ring mattel has released has been botched in some way. elite ring is ridiculously oversized and swallows the figures up. the basic rings are worthless. the main event ring was botched with the low rope height and overall was too gimmicky finally looks like they are giving us a definitive ring, which we've never had. |

I’ve been on the fence about this since it was announced and I still am. I have the $$$ ready to go as well. I basically decided I’d wait and see how it goes. If they fund it to get the extra tiers then I’d definitely go in. BUT……. The asking price is way too high, the perks aren’t mind blowing in any capacity, I don’t like them collecting the amount now and refunding if it isn’t funded, and I hate that you have to basically wait a year for it. I’d also appreciate a potential for future additions. Maybe a cage, more ring skirts, etc to come would be nice. But a $250 investment in something they may never add accessories for? That’s making me want to avoid it altogether. Or $250 for something they'll try to sell me again in 6 months with a RAW or Nitro entrance. For as much as they've talked about this package, Bill and Steve haven't really said much of substance. What they should’ve did was said this is definitively the ONLY way you’ll get this ring. And also we’re putting out more stuff later if this gets funded. Also I hear people’s complaints about the figures and that’s a problem too. Imagine if that Doink was an HBK or Bret they haven’t made yet? What if they offered a few more tiers (the RAW letters for the entrance, more ring skirts, blue cage) and got rid of the Doink AND Diesel? I could tell you that I would’ve already backed it instead of playing the sidelines right now. Hell, they’re competing with themselves right now. Would I rather have this than $250 of releases and stuff that I know is coming anyway? I totally agree about being sold the same stuff in six months too. I don’t need 400 expensive rings sitting around that are a pain to even resell. |

Bill’s already stated on some comments where people have asked for other sets to receive the crowd funding sets that if this one doesn’t reach its goal then there wouldn’t be others.
