How did they drop the ball with Slaughter? It's a limited release. If everyone got one it wouldn't be a limited edition. They put a limit of 2 on the figure. What else were they supposed to do? Probably go the route of Tohka and Razar from Super 7, and have a pre-sale and a tight window and make the amount they sold. That way everyone who wanted one could get it. that was NECA not Super7 and people in the NECA community still weren't happy about that lol |

Neca actually does a pretty good job rereleasing exclusives. They charge an arm and a leg to ship them to you, and you have to wait forever, but theyโve done a ton of goodwill in the last year with getting stuff on their site imo. Randy is an A+ dude if you ask me.

They should have done just the neon entrance for $75-$100. I'm not sure why they HAD to have the first offering be so expensive. Work your way up in price as wrestling figure collector's get more familiar with the concept.

Just my thoughts, but whatever. Itโs because the part of the story they leave out is when they have to get approval from corporate to even green light this stuff. If they go upstairs and say, we wanna do a go fund me for a $50 entrance, corporate probably says, why even bother? So they need to first set a price, a profit margin and a cost, get the money approved for the concept of the projectโฆand then fill it in with whatever to make it appear that price and fit into those parameters. |

Just my thoughts, but whatever. I think crowd funded items are always going to premium priced items - $250 is on the low end compared to Haslab's releases. My guess is companies don't want to put in the effort/resources unless it's a project that can bring in significant revenue. Larger price tag = larger margins. Wrestling's biggest issue is it doesn't have those iconic single items like a Sentinel, Galactus, vehicles, etc. The only way they can probably get there is bundling items. Time will tell whether that's actually viable for things people will spend money on. |

Am I alone in being put off by the retrofied WW logos? Especially on the entrance stage. Yes, I know Vince and co. probably demanded it be that way. It still sucks and looks off.

Just my opinion, but my feeling is yes I noticed, but it's not something that will bother me. Though I absolutely understand folks who can't look past it. But I don't think there's much they can do from a legal perspective - it is what it is. |

Yeah I am not a fan of the WW logo. If itโs small where it can be overlooked like on Piper/T shorts or on a mic then Iโm fine with it. But it being big and bright and in neon and multiple logos surrounding the ring then itโs a big eyesore. And yes I get why they canโt do WWF but personally I would do something else that doesnโt have the old logo so prominent throughout the entire display. Something like a Monday Raw arena with the RAW letters entrance.

I'm actually quite surprised that there's only 864 backers so far (as of this post). I thought there would be at least a couple thousand by now, if not more. At this point I'd be surprised if it reached 5k in a month, but I really hope it does.

Toys R Us has been getting the Legends, albeit a very, very minimal selection online. Hopefully we start seeing them in stores on a more frequent basis because I absolutely need that Batista. The problem isn't with Legends elites. This Batista is an ultimate edition. No stores here have carried any since series 3. I highly doubt Toys'R'Us will bring this in. I just meant in terms of them carrying the Target exclusives. I've personally never even seen an Ultimate Edition at any retail store in Canada so I'm not holding my breath lol |

im definitely surprised this isnt at a higher number maybe they should have come out of the gate with both Ultimates and the Ringskirts as well as the rest I do think the ring skirts are an extremely weak top tier reward. That level is meant to be a reach goal so it should be something REALLY enticing like the classic blue cage or maybe the original KOTR throne with crown/cape/scepter. Absolutely gutted that this Doink won't see the light of day. |
