I don’t like the scare tactic of them going “there’s a lot of cool stuff in the pipeline but you’ll never see em if you don’t fund this.” I don’t want this and I don’t wanna pay $250 just to maybe have the opportunity to get something more to my liking next time. I bought 2. I love everything about it. The ring the entrance the figures the skirts. But I agree I don’t like this paternal punitive tone MDT is prone to. That take their ball and go home mentality. I hate their responses sometimes. Collectors got blamed when the original Legends line failed, but that was their fault for producing awful attires that were deep cuts and not iconic and desirable enough. When people get upset about the Slaughter drop, they respond with “that’s part of the game.” When this fails, they’ll say “the interest and support wasn’t there.” They picked the least popular time period in wrestling history to make a high end, high price product of? They’re putting all their faith on the idea of crowdfunding behind…. Diesel? The New Generation? They responded at one point that New Generation era figures sell extremely well and that this was the most asked for high end product by collectors. Who asked for this, because I haven’t seen it nearly as much as they’re claiming? This has Bill’s hands all over it. He produces things he wants all the time instead of listening to collectors or providing accurate looks. He just throws stuff together and releases looks and characters he wants. Nakamura as an Ultimate, anyone?

From what Steve said the entrance was highly requested because it covers the end of the old gen as well as new Gen, also they started with something with a lower price point. I guess the full scale stages like the Smackdown fist would be considerably higher priced.

Could RSC order a bunch of these and then split the items up and sell them individually on their website? If this gets made the price will double or triple in value. I’ve backed this but maybe it will really help more ppl jump on board if RSC or other wrestling stores buy some of these and get that meter moving closer to 5k.

Mattel has plenty of partners, I would t be surprised if they get some partners to buy a bunch

Nakamura as an Ultimate, anyone? That’s a pretty terrible example. At the time those lineups were made, Nakamura had just won the Royal Rumble and was heading for a world title match at WrestleMania. Nobody knew that by the time the figure came out, the character would be a midcard nothing.

are there any blue cages that'll fit this ring? Nope. It’s 21.4 x 21.4 which is a brand new scale. I didn't know this was scaled down. That is excellent news!

The ENTRANCE was requested -- I guarantee if this were a bigger entrance and no ring, this would have been funded.

Payday today, and I've backed it. Fully expecting it to be refunded at the end of the month though.

Was anyone else disappointed to learn the dimensions of the ring are 21.4 x 21.4? I don’t think it would’ve made a difference in terms of support for the project as a whole, but I was really hoping for something in the 18-20 range. The super large rings like WCT eat up so much space and never truly look authentic to the scale of the figures. yea same i was really hoping for 18 to 20, its always been a problem that the basic rings are too small and the scale rings are too big. i bought an RSR and even at 20" that thing is massive. i started trying to build my own figure ring testing different dimensions and found 18" to be the absolute sweet spot. plenty of room without being ridiculous. I've never bought a WCT ring because 22" just sounds colossal when the RSR was already too big.

I think the Main Event ring is also 20” and that would have been the perfect ring if the height was scaled properly. It was so close to being perfect.

Just saw someone on Instagram post a screenshot of an email that said “your order was canceled because of unforeseen circumstances and your payment has been refunded.” The person didn’t understand why. Did anyone else get something similar? Was it the same as this? Yes! Thank you, I did not see the second part.

Lmao wrestling toy collectors are sabotaging this? Please tell me this is a parody I wouldn’t say sabotage but like others have said, I think once the negativity gets rolling, and iv contributed to that, once it gets rolling I think it gains a stigma and becomes less sexy of a purchase. You gotta understand, we live in a time right now where they can pull this thing RIGHT NOW and cancel it and tomorrow 10,000 people will complain that they want it haha. If they can tap into that psychological trickery here, they’ll make the money. They just gotta turn it around. If they said we’re LIMITING this to 5,000 backers, now it’s a 5000 piece run so get in while you can…they might meet the goal tonight. It’s a tricky place the collecting scene is right now.
