For those saying that could sell it for three times as much or more, please give examples where modern WWE collectables have gone for $750 or more. How many people here have spent that kind of money on a WWE collectable? I would bet money on very little or even nobody has done so. It's easy to sit here and say that the value would increase. Of course it would, most collectables do. Whether anyone in their right mind - outside of Matt Cardona or even Brian Myers - would drop that kind of money is a different story. It's all fantasy at this point. Whose saying you’d sell it all as a package for 750? To maximise profits and potential buyers you split the items up. Plenty of people only want diesel or only the ring. If you sell diesel for 200, the ring for 400 and the entrance for 200 you’re not selling anything individually for 750. But separately and you’re looking at more than 750 easily. Throw in Doink and the ring skirts and you’re closing on on 1k easy.

SES Punk has gone for $500 in recent months. RSC Bret has sold for over $400. AEW chases have sold for literal thousands. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that a high-end, large-scale set with a limited purchasing window would triple in value later given the current collectors market. (Although it's likely that a lot of online sales would be for the most wanted parts of the set. I could see the ring on its own being relatively affordable as a separate piece if some people just want to keep the entrance and UE figures.)
I'm not saying it's a guaranteed investment -- it's a unique item in the line, so collector sentiment can move in a lot of directions here -- just that given the current market trends there's a major likelihood of value increasing.

A freaking Jindal Mahal that came with a ring runs $60-$75 loose and people think there isn't going to be a market for a MOC Ultimate Diesel lol ok People asking a certain price for a figure and that figure actually selling is a complete difference. Unfortunately most collectors don’t understand that and think just because some clown lists a figure on eBay for $600 that’s what they can get for it.

Who is buying that stage for $200? Nobody. Things don’t spike in price just because they’re rare, they spike and in turn get sold on the secondary market because their is demand. If anyone is looking to turn $750-$1000 on this thing, you’re gonna have to wait 10-15 years when this thing would finally have its supply meet that kind of demand.

Who is buying Harley Race for 350? Oh wait. Collectors. Because collectors drop major money on hard to find items. But no you’re right. Those people who got SDCC sarge had to wait 15 years to see a profit on their fig. I absolutely can’t believe sdcc 2021 was 15 years ago, feels like it was just last week! Edit: there’s literally Ultimate amazon exclusive Hogans being sold for approximately 250. The figure isn’t even out yet and is confirmed to be going back up on amazon. But nah, that’s just an illusion.

This ^^^ If people think this the one and only way their gonna make a Diesel/Nash in UE form. Their nuts. Same with Doink. One way or another, even if repaints. They'll squeeze them out, regardless Mattel saying this is only way . SMH It's FAF at people taking it personal if this ring gets backed or not. there's no way people think doink the clown is gonna get an ultimate figure if this doesn't get funded No one thought Mattel was going to make a 2nd Doink elite too.

ALOT of these figs..UE Shawn, Elite Harley Race to name just a couple- Harley already cooling off on price it was- etc..are all sitting on ebay right now, ROTTING under the "Buy It Now" ..and they been there for days. Things are only worth what people wanna pay for them .

Edit: there’s literally Ultimate amazon exclusive Hogans being sold for approximately 250. The figure isn’t even out yet and is confirmed to be going back up on amazon. But nah, that’s just an illusion. You can't base prices off one-off sales - you're exaggerating numbers. There's more sales of Rock at $100 apx, Shawn at $150 - $200 apx, Slaughter at $70 - $80, the WM2 ring at $250 and below. If everything was priced at the highest price it's ever sold at life would be ridiculous. You're also forgetting demand. People WANT the Ultimate Edition figures because they were readily available to them RECENTLY, like Rock, HBK, etc. People want the rings they remember seeing on shelves back in the day at affordable prices with great accessories like a steel cage, the first one of its kind. Currently, there isn't a 5k/7k/8k demand for this New Gen arena based on the number of backers. And in future, there won't be. I can tell you now, as a collector, I do NOT see the value in this bundle at $250. I definitely don't see it without Doink and I guess the ringskirts. That being said, in X amount of years time I'm not suddenly going to see more value here. The only thing I can see people wanting from this separately is Doink and the stage - you won't make profit on $250 from those alone.

They changed the billing terms: "By backing this project, I agree to the Terms of Sale. I hereby authorize Mattel to place a pending charge on my payment account. If the project isn’t fully backed by the campaign end date, this pending charge will not be processed. For more information, see our FAQs." If you already paid, you can keep your charge as is, or contact costumer service and change it.

if you're buying this thing JUST because you think you can flip it, you're in this hobby for the wrong reason.

If they’d have done this from the start we’d have Doink by now lol

A good bit of firefighting by Mattel but I don't think it'll be enough.

I think not opening with this plan has essentially shot themselves in the foot though

But what is the pending charge? The charge is authorized but not posted. The total will be deducted from your available credit but you won’t be required to pay the balance or pay interest while the charge is pending. Your card will be declined if you do not have the available credit room. Once the charge is posted you will need to pay it off or pay the interest.

Damage has definitely been done. The problem with crowdfunding is its psychological. People now look at this as a failed/failing campaign. That first day was very important to get this off on the right track. A lot of people who looked in the first few days probably won’t check back now. Maybe if Cardona and people like him plug the crap out of it it’ll bounce back? It’s gonna be a tough hurdle though.
