Doink is 100% the selling point for me. I want nothing else in the package, but would shell out $250 for that ultimate Doink. I think Mattel may make a few more changes to the campaign like they did with the payment issue. Hopefully they just add Doink to the standard package. Please God.

In my opinion, only this way gets back (and still and if) is if Mattel adds Doink and the aprons to the First Tier.
I just asked Steve if there's any way Mattel will do this

I think if they add Doink and the skirts to the first tier, they'll sell more than if they don't.

I might be missing something here... but how come people are going so crazy for Doink? If he was released as a standard UE, I doubt they'd be that much interest (...they'd probably be complaints that it's a waste of an Ultimate figure). 🤷♂️

For me it's not that I'm crazy for Doink but that 2 Ultimates make it a very good package

If he was released as a standard UE, I doubt they'd be that much interest (...they'd probably be complaints that it's a waste of an Ultimate figure). 🤷♂️ I can’t say for others, but for me, personally, I’m going crazy for it because it’ll look great as a Joker thug or goon in my comic book action figure photography. Plus, it looks dope af in general. Way better than any of his past elites especially with the extra articulation and accessories. |

I go one Mattel creation i can't see the message concerning payement, it still says that i have to pay right now.
Is it just me because i'm in France ? Or is it a problem with my web browser (cookies or someting like that) ?
I still think that 250$ is very expensive if we can't get the Doink but i ordered to give them a chance i they listened the community.

So mattel have quietly decided the payments won’t be immediately processed? If they’d have done this from the start we’d have Doink by now lol Smart(er) move, but it might be too little too late. Damage has definitely been done. I agree, you wanted people to click when It was first announced snd hype was high. People have had too long to think about it. You need a good bulk of people up front |

Another figure also makes it feel like a better value. |

Plenty has been said about this now but rather than trying to re-invent the wheel…in terms of what is realistic, with the mostly confident knowledge we have about talent Mattel actually could utilise (and they would need to be New Gen I’d say to make sense, roughly 93-97ish?) what would make people currently unsure or unwilling to invest, take the plunge? For me, I think if the Diesel is sharpened up to have silver and black attire with elbow pad and wrist tape that’s an improvement easily made at this stage. On top of that, if they brought the Doink and the Skirts etc into the 5K and added in an ultimate edition of any of the following: Bret - ideally Hart Foundation Jacket included for those who missed the DM or Wrestlemania 9 all pink Mr Perfect (surely an ultimate needed and some great facials/crazy hair for alternate heads) Or Elites of any of these: Gorilla Monsoon (another distribution challenge in the past and expensive on the Bay) Vince McMahon with the jacket Headshrinker Fatu Kama & D’lo NOD Re-release improved red pants black belt Yoko or a fresh white pants with red belt The package at the moment just feels like it’s a bit short for $250 and it’s not getting to 8k. How much do Mattel want this to work? Rather than both sides being stubborn let’s meet in the middle. There’s time to rescue this if Mattel add in some extras like the above and I think if they make it 5k minimum for doink, skirts and a couple of the figures above, they would actually exceed the 5k without needing to ask people to reach 8k, they might get there or past it anyway. The change to payment is nice but the idea of getting locked in at 5k level set as it is with just Diesel is stopping me and many others from backing. Come on Mattel, some of the above figures are easily doable, there’s plenty of time for production, let’s add some extra figures and get this done. Without a price increase, I would think Mattel would end up losing money even if if it was funded if they added another figure and messed with the tiers like that. I just don’t believe that. Obviously they’re not a charity but I still think the margin on this thing will be crazy, whatever they say. There’s plenty room to add in some existing talent available with a couple of new headsculpts and deco updates and still make very good money. Even the major pod who were trying to convince people to buy basically talked themselves out of it as it’s not a $250 item even with Doink and the skirts. They could even look at going the other way and adding in more for an extra $30/50 and be more successful (I think that would be greedy personally) but for me, it’s not that $250 is a lot of money…it’s a lot of money for what they’re offering. It’s about Value. Give us value and more people will buy. If they put something up that was $400 but it was stacked with awesome stuff and value for money, I’d back that. This isn’t value, people argue to suggest we don’t know about production, I know a little and I can’t see how they can justify $250 for the plastic bits we’ve been offered so far. Again, I don’t take major pod for gospel at all but when they’re trying to justify it and can’t, that tells you a lot. They definitely do know a bit about production costs. |

Hopefully Ringside and other online stores by a ton. Might be are only hope. I'm sure Entertainment Earth would love to have this available next summer. That's when this with be hot when you can't buy it anymore.

He was one of my personal favorites and it's a shame Matt Bourne was fired so quickly that we never got to see where the character could have went. It's also a great looking figure and despite him having two elites this one is the full package with extra heads and coat. |

I think Mattel needs to drop the tier system and just say you get everything at 5k backers for this to succeed. |

Or they could extend the deadline. Still don't think it would happen though. This isn't good for wrestling fans, as the Creation team is not all of Mattel. Just one little unit. And if the ring fails, the powers that be at Mattel might frown on the Creation team bring more wrestling stuff to the table.
