Finally getting a bit of momentum and now this =/ What not offering another ring? Big deal you’d have this one already. Maybe they’d just offer/add new ring skirts and turnbuckles as a tier of the next one. They charged me less than a day after they said no charges would be made. I'll be canceling Monday morning. I only backed it due to the revision they made on taking payments, then no warning and they charged me. I'll cancel Monday and check back the last day and see what the numbers look like. |

If so many people have this major issue with being charged now, who or where does it say you have to order it now? Why not wait until the last day or even the last week to order it? I have the funds to order it now, but why do that if i can still get everything on the last day that the same guy does who ordered it day one

Yep. Me as well. People who are trying to sway others to jump onboard by saying we won't get another crowd fundraiser if this isn't successful are sorta ignoring the fact that Bill already hinted the next planned campaign will also involve a ring...I don't have room for one ring, let alone two. This just isn't doing it for me. It's also worth mentioning, all the new features of this ring are only seen when you're building the ring. So for the everyday adult collector, how often are they taking apart and rebuilding their ring? I think they should have tried a 4-6 pack offering first for $100-150. Or even a Retro campaign. This was just too ambitious. If we do another the next would NOT include a ring. I hope you put an Attitude Era ring on the market at some point. I’d much rather have that than a New Gen ring. I understand that a big ring with a big Titan Tron stage probably doesn’t make financial sense. But a ring sold on RSC with Raw is War and Smackdown skirts and color coordinated ropes would be awesome. |

I think there is a huge portion who will wait til the end, or next pay check which for some is bi weekly. Im sure there are plenty who plan to order but just have to budget it in accordingly. my guess is the legal department got involved or something, cant change terms of a product when people have already paid because lawsuits. or something like that.

I see people explaining their Doink love and I still think Doink is a lame pick. I admit I didn’t watch the New Gen as a kid, but that’s why I don’t have the nostalgia goggles on. Evil Doink was a fine idea, but evil clown is not a gimmick that’s going to sell a lot of tickets. That is a mid-card gimmick. Why? Because it’s a clown and clowns are lame, evil or not. I’ve seen his stuff over the years and it was interesting, but it’s still a clown gimmick. There’s nothing that screams “That’s so cool!” about Ultimate Doink if you’re not a big Doink fan. Doink elites were released twice and they were not flying off the shelves. I could easily find both Doinks at retail for months. This campaign is for a niche audience with a high goal for a figure woth an even smaller audience. When I think New Gen, I think the Kliq and I think wrestlecrap gimmicks. Razor, HBK, Bret, 123 Kid, Luger probably would’ve been more interesting. The only people that care about Ultimate Doink are people that are big Doink fans. An Ultimate Doink would rot on shelves. I like everything else about the campaign (would’ve gone with a better Diesel attire), except for Doink. He does nothing for me and I know I’m not alone because New Gen didn’t do great business at the time. I get your opinion, but the only way that top tier would have had real appeal and made collectors grab for their credit card is if it included a first-time figure like Jeff Jarrett. Even if leveraging a figure like that through an expensive playset would be frowned upon, it is a smart business model because people would have paid up regardless. And guys like Razor/Luger/Kid/Bret may have been more popular than Doink, but I believe it still wouldn't have sniffed the amount of required backers needed to reach 7k. |

I, like others, want to see this thing made and be a successful avenue for Mattel. Years people have asked for this and now it’s just complaining because it isn’t exactly why everyone wants.
While I think they could have gone different routes and different eras, with rose color glasses on most love the nostalgia looking back on that era. I think the payment issues have given this a lot of problems, but another huge contribution to the negative stigma is here in the boards. The negativity is contagious. Just my opinion, but the negativity here has been a major hindering factor to other members here.

It would be an absolute tragedy if this doesn't get funded.
We not only lose the opportunity to get an amazing set we would never get elsewhere, but we would also probably squander any chance in the future of a "too big for retail" set as well. Plus, it's the first crowdsourcing project for the WWE line. What a bad look it would be for all parties if it were to fail.

From the start you never should have been charged for something that would be shipped next year, secondly, you shouldn’t tell people you’re changing your stance to now you won’t be charged then the very next day you’re back charging people. Also, if you wanna sale things like this, you also should’ve added a first time in the line UE figure to come with it, like if you had to wait to to get that said guy signed you do that, but a Diesel? And I would love to have another Doink, but I wouldn’t pay $250 just to get it. You add idk, pick 2 from this list Skinner, Jeff Jarrett, Zeus, Barbarian, Brother Love, Jim Cornette, add a blue cage or something , you would likely have a better chance at getting your 5k. And another thing, why have a month to get to 5k? What’s the rush? Let it last throughout the year and see how it does. And to add to it, you should’ve never threw this out there during SDCc when you have all these pre orders, should’ve put this up before |

Wait.... People are actually upset that they're being charged right now for it?? You gotta be  ing kidding me. Kickstarter says hold my beer. At any rate I backed it day 1. Sad it probably won't come to fruition, that ring was something I've been dreaming of since I was like 6 years old, but alas. It happens. I still have my Jakks scale ring, which is pretty darn close, outside of the saggy ass ring posts. |

Oh so they changed it and said they WONT charge up front and then went and did it anyway
i was wondering why there was a sudden boom of growth on this and it was probably DIRECTLY connected to thinking the up-front billing was gone.
looks like billing at the end would have funded it for sure
