What’s the hold up on the next crowd find? I mean the first one was successful and this coming summer will be 2 years since it launched.

What’s the hold up on the next crowd find? I mean the first one was successful and this coming summer will be 2 years since it launched. Maybe they don’t want to burn people out, maybe there are design issues. Could even be problems getting things scheduled in the factory. I imagine whatever it is, they are planning to announce it at the right time (Mania or SDCC). |

I asked Steve what would the price point be on the next crowd funder and he said more expensive than the last one-($250), but he said he thinks it will be worth it. What are y’all’s guesses on what the price might be? $350-$400?

The last set barely scraped by at $250.
A $400 item is gonna struggle hard to get funded. People buying multiples were what got the ring funded the first time. At 250 people can dip in for 2-4 without it being a colossal amount of money to have tied up in toys for a year. When you hit 400 a higher number of people are going to struggle justifying multiples.
If mattel are smart they should keep this next one below $300

I believe a price hike and people seeing how the new gen arena didn't do great on the secondary market could put the next project at risk of not being backed.
I do think it's time the ruthless aggression era gets some love though. I feel like a lot of guys who were younger during that era would gladly back something that hits in the feels. Let's do a SD fist stage and ring but with extra skirt and ropes to swap out to a Raw ring.

Watching the first episode of Nitro right now and I’m wondering if/when we get a WCW or ECW Scale Ring… will it be between 18”x18” & 19”x19” with shorter Ring Posts?

I'm not typically a flipper but I ordered a second one just because I knew it would help to get the ring funded and at the very least I wouldn't be out anything. I'm prepared for this to be a looong hold. Like 5-10 years down the line. All my expectations were on a second one was to help get the ring funded and at least break even, so I'm not too bothered about it. |

Wonder what happend to that guy who ordered 30 of them I'm outside of the US market. The US market is not relevant for me. I can sell duty-free throughout the EU, I have cheap shipping rates. I have not yet sold any of the 30 sets (not even tried) but with the achievable EU market prices it is already very lucrative. Things are different for US resellers. Probably very unlucrative at the moment. Despite everything, a toy is not an investment. I wanted to support the project. |
