1000% this would have a ton more backers if they didn't take the money until after the campaign ended *if successful* This, too. They dropped the ball with the Slaughter release, and then asked people to hand over 250 dollars for something that might not even get backed, which no other company does. How did they drop the ball with Slaughter? It's a limited release. If everyone got one it wouldn't be a limited edition. They put a limit of 2 on the figure. What else were they supposed to do?

I’m not saying it’s right, but I’ve seen plenty of people say they aren’t backing this due to the lack of remorse over how poorly the Slaughter drop went. As it should be, the only way to voice your concerns and frustrations is keep your dollars. The tone deafness by the heads of this thing has spurned a lot of people. Today’s releases have been mild to say the least. I mean, for me, the Camo Cole being the chase just tells me they mildly hear collectors, and only begrudgingly in my opinion. Having this crowd fund blow up in their face when HasLab is going to really do well and other crowd funded projects might wake them up to this or simply draw battle lines. Who knows? It’ll draw battle lines. Collectors got blamed for the original Legends line failing, and they’ll get blamed if this doesn’t get backed. I expect it to hit the 5,000 mark( but it’ll be late in the campaign and they won’t make the other tiers. If I end up being wrong I’ll willingly admit it.

Probably go the route of Tohka and Razar from Super 7, and have a pre-sale and a tight window and make the amount they sold. That way everyone who wanted one could get it.

That’s not how crowdfunding works. Many people on this board called for a crowdfunding project exactly like this since in the past when we begged Mattel to make something and they did, the same people who begged didn’t actually purchase the thing they pleaded for. Someone in this exact thread said they aren’t backing the ring because they now have to pay scalper prices for the Slaughter. That’s at least one sale lost, and for a crowdfunding project you need all hands on deck to meet your goal. If there’s one there’s more. Where there’s smoke there’s fire.

They’ve openly said the numbers produced were similar to T and Macho Man. They willingly underproduced an item that they knew two different fandoms would go after. On top of that, there was a chase variant offered, which meant that most people buying would buy 2 so they could potentially get one of each. Group that in with the fact that collecting is at an absolute all time high right now. You had all of those variables in play, yet you don’t account for them at all? Poor planning and money lost on their part.

I’m not paying scalper prices. I’m not buying that item on the secondary market specifically because of the price mark-up. Clearly others are though, and that is taking precedence over a crowdfunding campaign that either gets backed or it will likely never happen again. Mattel doesn’t listen to fans half the time. They just dropped a chase Adam Cole that people have been begging for instead of making the mass release figure. Everyone has been asking for an 02 Hogan, but we got an 05 Hogan instead.

I’m not supporting anything when they don’t care about us. First off, you send out limited edition SDCC Exclusives for FREE to Jobbers/Influencers, while people who make your buisness go has to jump on a PC and fight for 1 and pay $40+ for it, then when you don’t get it, you poke fun about it. Secondly, you put up these Amazon/Target pre orders that NEVER work out. Amazon jumped the gun how many times for the Hogan? Twice and then the day it’s suppose to actually go up it doesn’t? Target, how many times have we dealt with having to find ways to get this online pre orders? You go to WWE.com and it clearly says “pre order now at target.” But nothing! Ringside ALWAYS got exclusives, chase, figures out and not once did you have a sale out in 2 min, it happened twice in as many days this week. But instead of keeping them their where it’s easier to Get them, let’s move it to target/Walmart and let’s watch them complain about it everyday. I mean hell, we haven’t even had Bill/Steven make any kind of post about the Ultimate Hogan or the Legends if or when Target/Amazon will actually put their legends uo for pre order, I bet it will be midnight tho. Walmart when does anything actually work from them

I’m cool with it. My issue is that they send them out to create hype, yet they don’t even come close to meeting the demand that they created. Just open a pre-order window for 24 hours and close it. They aren’t even shipping until January, anyways, so delayed shipping wouldn’t even be an issue.

If this looks like it will reach 7000, I'll back it, but not sure I'm interested in spending so much without the Doink figure. If it was Doink instead of Diesel, I'd be in.

So why not make it for 24-48 hours and whatever is bought is made. It seems they want limited figures floating around without trying to do 1 of 1000 since Jazwares is doing it, so they’re trying to find another way to make figures rare and for people who keep their buisness going pay triple the price on eBay.

Well it’s over 10% of the way to that 7,000 right now, so we’ll see. They really didn’t give us too many sought after items with it. Ultimate Diesel and Doink aren’t exactly items people are clamoring for. They’d sell on their own, but they might not be right to anchor something this big. Should’ve been some legit mega talent that people have begged for. This should’ve been used to release an accurate Ultimate red and yellow Hogan alongside another shot at an Ultimate Bret or Shawn.

What they should do is say we made a mistake and there will only be 1k made and sales will stop once we reach that goal. Boom! It is now an Ultimate exclusive!

So do what they did with Slaughter and piss everyone off again? Lol No that would just make everyone buy it really quickly and they would reach their 5k goal tonight. Would you really be that mad if they told you they were only making 1k but made 5k instead?

My fear is if people wait like this instead of backing now or waiting until the end it will cause low numbers that will scare others off and this probably won't even hit the 5K
