what do you guys think about the taker head that was previewed for the new showdown 2-pack  10 times better than any of the heads included with the UE. It boggles my mind as to why it wasn't included. Would expect better than that head for a UE or any Mattel figure these days really….BUT I’d be a lot happier with this head (albeit we’re going on a mock up) than the old man MJ head. At least that basic one looks closer to the right age. Side note…can’t believe more hasn’t been made of that awful Gene Simmons Bret head that they’re clearly using on this basic as it came out so good on ther survivor series Bret 😂😩😩 |

The best thing they showed at SDCC yet RSC can’t put it up preorder even though they put up an exclusive that isn’t due in till December. SMH.

I wonder if that head would work on the UE? Didn't they say the MJ head is specially designed to work with the jacket? If so, would a headswap even work?
I mean, I'm up for it. 100%. Just curious if it would work.

A basic mid 90’s Flair, a year drop Taker when the ultimate has modern heads. It’s rather coincidental, hopefully just that, but I’m wondering. |

At least the body parts look proportionate on the basic and like you said the basic headscan looks way better on that graphic.. |

What I think is interesting is that Mattel keeps retooling the same old man undertaker heads and passing them for flashbacks. We’ve had at least three flash back undertakers with the same head as current taker. Are they not allowed to scan him? The ultimate edition has weird proportions like the fiend and all three scans look old. I wish they’d address this or correct it at the very least.

As much as that basic heads looks better and closer in terms of age (though the eye makeup needs to go), I don’t think it’s going to work as well as people hope, especially for if displaying with the entrance coat. The head they mentioned was designed specifically for the coat has the hair come down and forward. The hair on this basic and others would just fall straight down so won’t travel forward and over the jacket to make it look draped or natural. The head should work if intending to display it on him without the entrance gear, however I’m always fearful of minor skin tone changes they make and wonder if this one will fit in. |

I'm also leaning towards just getting the Basic and passing on the UE. Like what a wild thing to be saying in 2021 regarding this line but that's where I'm at on this one, sadly.

Kane is perfect. Taker head scans are pretty bad. And Taker needs two open hands so he can he posed likes he's turning on the lights.
