I just realized that the scan on that Taker/Bret two pack is the same as the lost legends and original purple taker. They really need to stop using the same scans. It’s been overdone with all the flashback takers imo. We need some brand new ones.

I'm for sure getting that UE Taker (multiples actually) but I REALLY hope we get a redo of a Phenom Taker in the Elite Line (whether it be PPV subline, Legends Subline, Or regular line) at some point in the nearer than farther future.

After the reaction and criticisms of that Taker Ultimate they shouldn't bother releasing it. I was trying to force myself to like it but the same reactions on this thread makes me lean towards not buying it.
I'm more dissapointed with how they packaged the Stone Cold Ultimate box. Packaging him with trunks and a gold chain?? It looked out of place. He wore the chain with either blue jeans or Jean shorts but never with his ring trunks......also one of his face scans seem straight out of Broken Skull Sessions, the laughing scan reminds me too much of retired Broken Skull Sessions Austin. He hardly ever laughed, more like that sneer he gave when he would outsmart McMahon.
The Edge Ultimate was also dissapointing in their face scans.
The question is.......is The Undertaker Ultimate face scan worse than the Becky Lynch Ultimate face scans?

I think the chain was included because the cost of production/tooling was low, having already used it on the Defining Moments and Hall of Fame figures. So it was "added value" with little cost. Even though it yeah seemed out of place. The default angry head is pretty decent and is new as far as I can tell. The closed-mouth one is very accurate and I believe comes from Basic 100. The laughing one is also new I believe, but is just not accurate for the era - seems like a very recent scan that they were not able to properly de-age, and the expression is more fitting for his 2001 persona, whereas the rest of this set is very 97/98 classic Austin. |

Can’t even blame the hair anymore, it’s Gene Simmons as he looks today ffs 😩 Still, if they can change either, hopefully it’s that Taker. Looks like an old lady. |

Besides Kane and Rock, the whole series has been a joke of shoddy execution, reused parts, and horrifying likenesses. |

I'm okay with the gloves on Taker. They're not 100% accurate, but his 89 gloves definitely had padding in them that makes these look close enough for me. Least of my issues with the figure.  Yeah I mean it’s definitely not as offensive as those heads or the torso, but it’s a mistake they keep repeating for absolutely no reason. I mostly just wanted to pile on. We’ve waited years for this figure and it kind of sucks. For something that seems to have been a blatant omission for so long in the Ultimate line, this Taker absolutely sucks lol |

Just gonna break up all the taker hate by acknowledging it’s going to be one long brutal wait to get my hands on this Kane. It just looks so freakin good and it’s release can’t come fast enough.
That brushed back hair scan is just so good and it’s probably the first since the 2003 flex em Kane. It’s funny because there’s been a few scans since and all with the hair forward, which doesn’t look nearly as good.
