BIAS! 😆 That was awesome, but he had a valid reason not to make CM yank. Bill said it made no sense for an athlete who was so associated with Chicago to have a figure of him in NY Yankees attire. The "no way in hell" comment is funny AF, but if that was seriously Bill's actual reasoning, it might be the silliest thing I've ever heard. It's such a "Mad Lib" of an excuse: it makes no sense for an athlete so associated with Chicago to have a figure in Bret Hart, who is Canadian, attire. I'd buy a Yankees pinstripe Punk in a heartbeat, and I'm a Boston fan.

Not a fan of Shawn in the chaps wrestling attire from the RA era. I do wish they would make some more figures of some of his attires from 1995-1997. There are probably 5 or 6 attires from that time period I would like. Dustin Rhodes comes to mind. They had Goldust under contract for years and never made one. The same was said about Stunning Steve Austin until they finally made one this past year. It also took them a long time to get out a 1996 Ultimate Warrior - still only have one of those. Lex Luger also comes to mind. He had a lot of colorful looks from his early WCW days and we haven't gotten one of those attires. And we have only had 1 WCW attire and he came with face paint, and they gave him the wrong boots. I know a lot of people have been begging for a "Hulk Still Rules" Hogan figure. Not sure if the upcoming one from SSL2005 counts. We've yet to get a WCW era Ravishing Rick Rude or Ricky Steamboat. It’s close but for me he would need the 5 o’clock shadow to be “still rules”

He was also a heel, doing some of the easiest, yet finest heel work one can do in the city of Boston. Cena is a Rays fan, but we still got him in his Yankees getup from WM35 (which I still loved but is probably less iconic).

I didn't want to buy a figure of John cena in a Yankees jersey so I was happy they couldn't put YANKEES on the front. I just pretend it's a red Sox jersey who uses a similar number font on the back. 😄⚾️

FWIW, I bought both this and the Funko Pop (which I never buy) because it was one of my favorite moments of the night.

Haven't we gotten every attire from that match by now except the Wyatt Gym/Johnny Largemeat segment ones? I'm just trying to keep track I want to collect them all and I had totally forgotten Yankees Cena was from that match. I need to try and get ahold of one, along with getting put in for the backorder of nWo Cena and grabbing a Legends Cena off the bay.

I associate the look more with his segment with Elias at WrestleMania 35.

USA New Day when they had other colorful attires oh yeah!! remember when we got another elite zack ryder after like 40 sets and it was just him in usa gear when we could've gotten literally anything else Toy companies generally like making figures in red, white, and blue because Wal-Mart LOVES that. Especially with predominantly blue attires, because it also evokes Wal-Mart's brand colors.

I think people here grossly over-exaggerate the concept of "attire bias" to fit into their own narratives as to why the specific thing they want isn't being made/ignore more sensical reasoning/have someone specific to blame.

But USA Ryder? I am so dang confused. Why was that the Elite Zack Ryder that we got? I've never seen him as the mascot-type why was that the Elite we got? Again, not trying to be rude, it just seems confusing in retrospect because we never got another. I've always assumed that was a mix of: 1. Ryder really wanting that figure to be an Elite (he's spoken before about having gotten the jacket made with the idea that it could be the DM Sting jacket repainted, even though it ended up being it's own mold) and 2. Bill wanting to work Ryder into the Elite line again, but needing a one-off/toyetic/special attire to do so because of his placement on the card at the time and general treatment by WWE. Overall, patriotic attires work because of the general attitudes of a lot of Americans as far as overboard flag displays go. I'm not going to go further than that as I don't want to disrupt the conversation.

It's somewhat understandable, but it gets frustrating that WWF attires are so heavily prioritized over WCW or ECW. Guys like Steamboat, Rude, Jericho, and up until now Jake Roberts had a bunch of WWF/E figures made, but nothing from their WCW runs. And then we had total misses like the Dudleys or Rhyno who could have had awesome flashbacks.
In most cases, their WWE runs were longer and more memorable, so I get doing those attires first. But when you've made guys 3, 4, 5 times already, it would be cool to see a WCW look thrown into the mix.

The most disappointing thing about Mattel for me is no good Kurt Angle figures. He is one of my all time faves, and there isn't a single Mattel figure of his that I'm proud to display. They are all 4/10...but hell yeah bring on the 87th Ultimate Warrior figure.

Too much New Gen, not enough RA
ain’t no way we got the Goon before we got 2006 Rey Mysterio
some guys from 04-07 that we could’ve had: Mysterio, HBK, Triple H, Shelton Benjamin, Dudleys, Christian, Jericho, MNM, Kane, Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Ric Flair, Rhyno, Khali, MVP, Miz, and the Undertaker,
We got some close like DM Flair, E59 Angle but idk how we didn’t get 2006 Kurt or Evolution Flair in red. Dudleys don’t really fall in 04 like that but they’re a big missed opportunity.

Didn’t Steamboat wear the red attire, white attire, and dragon attire in WCW? Plus they did have WCW specific in the Fan Takeover poll but people wanted the WM3 attire for the 4th time.

The lack of RA elites is the only complaint I have.
We still only have one elite Rey from 2004. One Shawn Michaels in DX gear. Have had one Kane since 2011 that fits that era and even then it's a rerelease. No Edge from 2006. One Angle that fits only one very specific time period and we didn't get his stable mates to match. One Batista not including the upcoming UE and we still haven't gotten an Evolution version. Just now gettin a Hogan from that time period. Other than a figure that represents one very specific match, we haven't gotten a Flair from that time period. No MVP yet and no Shelton from that era either.
All of these guys, with the exception of Angle, the are still under deals and have been from some time.

All the figures listed go for insane money online like 40+ each loose. That just goes to show how popular these era figures are

Have the fan votes ever an attire that either wasn't made before or collectors wanted? That's like saying no one would buy camo Cole to complete the set because he was offered didn't win the poll. The fact that the only Warrior elite made twice already gets to triple dip as an ultimate over neon green shows how people who vote don't even follow or buy the figures.
