So if E90 Big Bossman is indeed the chase as rumored, it pretty much HAS to be WCW's "The Boss" gimmick right? I can't think of any real costume variation he wore before his Attitude Era return and that would be a completely different sculpt (ditto Big Bubba Rogers and Guardian Angel). But "The Boss" you could do with that sculpt, black shirt and different tampo designs.

That would make the most sense. Plus, they cannot do the guardian angel.

Id prefer nwo Ray Traylor as the chase. He has to be in the same outfit, so it's not going to be that.

Has there ever been a chase that was completely different than the regular? They are always just a difference in color on the attire

Yeah, if the Boss Man is the figure with the chase, only The Boss figure from WCW would work - it would just be a simple color change. To do the Guardian Angel or Big Bubba Rogers, they would have to completely redo the body mold. Most likely this attire:

Getting different looks would require new tooling or molds which they say would not work for the cost. The simple re-paint is the only option. And it is only the repaint on the figure, the soft good items don't change.

Best choice & cost wise would be WCW The Boss attire.

Could be 1988 Bossman with a blue stripe on his pants rather than yellow.

Could be 1988 Bossman with a blue stripe on his pants rather than yellow. That would only work for the original Bossman figure, which was from his heavier days. This one is from 1990 when he was thinner.

I wouldnt hold my breath on Mattel tooling a 2nd torso thats a one time use thats exactly the same as previously.

I thought the first one wasn't fat enough for heel, Twin Towers Boss Man, yet the gut is too protruding for face Boss Man. Seemed like a mash up. Hopefully this one isn't too skinny. Though Boss Man lost weight and looked fit, he was still broad chested and broad shouldered. As for torso mold, I bet the reasons you highlight are precisely why he's getting the chase.

I wish we could get a fatter heel bossman with a soft goods shirt. In the early days he had the shirt open almost to the belt. Reflective aviators and a screaming mouth.
