How many figures in the last year did you think when you first saw it, "well ...I'm definitely not buying that, I don't need it" and then you end up buying it? And what made you change your mind? For me.... 1. Ronda Rousey elite 77 First thoughts - I'm not getting that, what do I need that? It's outdated, it doesent go with my collection, why didn't they release a women's wrestler from the Summerslam 2019 ppv?
Got it because - it looked great in the box, excellent detail, excellent design art, Ronda Rousey was a big name to add to the collection.
Other examples Classic Freddie Blassie Superstar Billy Graham Matt Riddle Elite 78 Naomi Elite 78 Christian Elite 76

Honestly quite a few. I sometimes saw someone selling a bunch of figures with one or two I really needed and ended up adding one I didn't have and wasn't really after just to cut down on the shipping cost. If it's for a decent price and I don't have it my mind might change later when it's harder to find and more expensive.

Usually its some kind of sale that gets me to change my mind on a figure.

Honestly… WWE - the Amazon Fan Takeover Elites I really didn’t want any except the Orton, but seeing the descriptions were all off I ordered the whole set. And just decided to keep them all when they were corrected.
AEW - Series 6 Penta. I said with the exception of a few wrestlers where I will buy any they release (Sting, Hangman, Jericho, Pac & Cody) everyone else it will just be one unless I feel the new one is an upgrade. 2 hours later I am at Target purchasing the Series 6 Penta.
Other than that there’s not been any.

The Masters of the WWE line. I saw the concepts for them and I was like, eh they’re kinda cool but I don’t need them. I was never really into He-Man. Then my brother started to really get into collecting MOTU stuff and they had just put out a fresh case of MOTU Origins and MOTWWEU at Wal-Mart and it inspired me to pick up some WWE versions.

The latest SummerSlam PPV wave, Elite 86 Fiend. Thought of it as an easy pass because it essentially is a re-release of last year's SS fig I already bought 2 of. A Future Endeavored and a fresh case find later, I now own back-to-back SS Fiends in my PPV collection.

Specific to wrestling figures:
1. Ultimate Shinsuke: When it first came out, I skipped because I didn’t need it. Then, I got some strobe lights for my photography and saw it on Amazon for retail price (maybe even a little less) so I grabbed it. 2. Retrofest Jim Duggan: I got on a kick of doing patriotic figure photos. 3. Elite Bobby Fish: Didn’t need him. Still don’t. But I needed a thumbs up hand for Duggan and Fish was a fairly cheap way to get one.
Aside from wrestling figures, there’s a bunch of import figures I didn’t plan to get, but friends doing reviews sold me on them.

Legends 10 cena, when I saw it for $6, I bought it. I didn’t even plan on getting it, and I didn’t even pre order it. I pre ordered Vader and ddp.

The last Nakamura elite. It was strictly an impulse buy at the time.

Dusty in the red polka dots. Found him in store which almost never happens in Australia so I grabbed him.

Legends 10 Cena Ultimate Edition HHH Legends 11 Hall Fan Takeover Christian and Orton
All because of FOMO, and fear of skyrocketing price.

Not many. Perhaps once or twice just because it was super cheap

Enough that I went from buying a handful of characters to pretty much anyone from the 80s and 90s.

Honestly, it's happened more often than it should. I would go months without buying anything if I only bought things that I really wanted.
I could get rid of a ton of my stuff and not even know it.

On several occasions I've gone to Walmart looking for one figure and coming home with something else.
AEW S4 Kenny came home with me this way, as did Retrofest Duggan and Basic 111 Kevin Owens.
Of course, somewhere along the way I've decided I want ALL the KO figures, so picking up 111 turned out for the best. Need to swap out those hands though...

The only one I can think of is Classy Freddy Blassie. I found him by himself at Walmart around Christmastime. I never saw him in stores prior to then. I didn't intend on getting him at first. I said why not and bought him.
