Honestly an underrated part of this is what he can contribute in influence for the women's division, knowing how much crap AJ had to put up with and how much he cares for her, I can see him being a very positive influence on the women's division.

so when does CM Punk get to wrestle for the Impact Championship? those are the real questions. I legitimately can't tell if this is supposed to be sarcasm or not, but I think the answer would be when Josh Alexander wins the big one, because that would be the best opponent for him there that I can think of. (Though Moose should be the one to take it off Christian, and there's zero reason for Punk to be part of the crossover given how many new matches exist in AEW for him. He'll be going until he's 50 without crossing out all the dream matches with the AEW roster). |

I was genuinely excited tonight to see if CM Punk would show. I am not even a huge CM Punk fan - I don't hate him but I wouldn't say I love the guy either - and even I was into the entire thing. It was just so cool to see.
Honestly, you watch WWE Raw and the fans seem bored already now. The excitement of a live crowd is already dead for WWE because of the horrible booking.
You watch AEW, and each week the crowds are on fire for both shows. It goes to show what creative booking can do for a promotion.

Gut feeling is Punk will actually lose his debut match up and put Allin over clean.Would be the biggest win probably ever in Allin's career and wouldn't hurt Punk in the least losing in his debut after being gone for 7 1/2.Could build up a redemption angle and win streak then for Punk. I'm on board with that. Would give Punk some real life runway to get back into the groove and face off with a bunch of interesting opponents along the way. He definitely needs a title shot down the line but I'm fine waiting a year if need be. |
