.53 in the demo is freaking fantastic. Second to only the debut episode of Dynamite (which airs in a much better time slot). This Wednesday should have an excellent number barring a significant news outbreak.

The New York territory might not consider AEW competition, but I guarantee FOX & USA disagree. Seriously, 0.5 in the demo at 9-10pm cst is a massive win.

Dynamite has been a top 5 cable show on Wednesday consistently for months now too. The audience skews young for TV too, which is just an absolutely enormous thing right now. It will be very interesting seeing how the move to TBS plays out, but the company is firing on all cylinders. Revolution did insane buys for that exploding barbwire match, and I think now All Out can beat it just on the back of Punk/Darby.

I don't have a solid feel on the TBS move, but I think it'll be a positive not getting moved around as much as they have been. There'll be like 2 or 3 episodes for baseball playoffs, but that's nothing. It'd be a disappointment if All Out wasn't their highest selling PPV ever.

1,129,000 was the viewership for this show. I love it! That’s really impressive especially for a Friday night

It's a great number no doubt, but it was always going to be with Punks return after 7 years, that's a big deal. Wednesday will get a huge number, possibly biggest ever and i hope they can sustain it over the next few months and with Bryan and possibly others joining i think they will do very well the rest of the year.

But they’re not competition according to some out of touch with reality old man! They really aren’t direct competition. They run Wednesday nights at 8pm and Friday nights at 10pm. WWE doesn’t run any of those time slots. Nitro was competition because they ran against Monday Night RAW. There was no DVR, it was mostly one or the other. Now people can watch all options.

But they’re not competition according to some out of touch with reality old man! I don’t think Next Man’s blah blah is that old? I’m old enough to remember Punk being told to make Roman look strong. And judging by the ratings for their respective shows on Friday night, he’s making Roman look stronger than ever. 😂 Fun debut though, moreso the entrance than anything else. Hell of a pop. The promo was rambling and illogical - the whole “I left pro wrestling in 2005” doesn’t really work when he’s knock-off cosplaying his WWE persona at the same time. But the important part was that entrance. CM Punk returning to wrestling in front of a wild hometown crowd! I’m looking forward to him getting his teeth into something and to seeing who he goes up against after this babyface respect rivalry with Darby. There aren’t many natural enemies for Punk’s anti-establishment gimmick, so I expect he will go in another direction. Evil EVP Cody would be a decent foil, but it also feels a bit like filler halfway through a Raw Supershow from 2011. I’d really like to see a Punk-MJF feud, actually. That has a lot of potential.

Literally everything is competition. People have a finite amount of free time and you're competing with all of it regardless of when it airs on tv. Far beyond just other wrestling promotions. TK understands this, Nick Khan understand this, and all the networks understand this. so yeah, it's definitely correct to say they aren't direct competition in that sense, but they are absolutely competition.

I’m not gonna read that but cool right on Lol it was what you'd expect. The usual gimmick post followed by one nugget of an actual idea that would be good (Punk/MJF is an absolute money feud that will inevitably happen and be a main event caliber feud). I always find it strange and hilarious that despite me being like 5 years younger than him (if his account is a legit age), I've been watching WWF from way before he did.
