This figure is pretty cool, a real deep cut in terms of his character. It's cool to see Mattel doing that with guys that are signed, why not.

This figure is pretty cool, a real deep cut in terms of his character. It's cool to see Mattel doing that with guys that are signed, why not. Mattel was always criticized for getting only 1 figure/gimmick out of a Legend in previous deals (Rick Martel, Akeem, Crush, Harley Race, etc) so its good to see them squeeze as much as they can now like what they did with Tugboat/Typhoon/Shockmaster. |

It makes sense, why not capitalise on the opportunity. Gives collectors more looks/characters and especially for collectors that only buy select guys, means they have more to buy. It's smart from Mattel and good for us with more variety. As you say, some of the Legends that had deals only got the 1 figure out of it. |

I wasn’t following wcw at this time - was it well known and mentioned in tv etc that this was Brutus? Or was it supposed to be a mysterious new character?

That Rey Mysterio is a thing of beauty. I just wish he had open hands and a extra head without the eye patch. I have to give Mattel props for that figure.
