When I see stuff like this, I just get myself into a frustrated mood. For the Zodiac, we get soft goods tassels, two new really good head scans, a perfect choice of parts and seemingly flawless paint apps. But we can't get the correct boot molds, paint apps, or decent headscans for current stars. It took two years to put the right boots on an Elite Gargano. They ruined Karrion Kross' first Elite with huge calves and big kickpads. They put little Kalisto arms on the first Elite Riddle. We are somehow working backwards with the new RSE Ciampa figure and taking away the ripped torso and changing it out for an elite Daniel Bryan body. I just wonder where priorities are sometimes.
The priorities are on the Legends. It's what most collectors want -- and given the age of the designers, I bet they feel the same way. You think they get excited to make Karion Kross and the nth Gargano?
I get what you are saying. The real collectors who would nitpick a figure are those who want the legends and the higher end elites. I still don't know why we have to sacrifice entire figures of current guys, though. Especially when they are as simple as correct parts. I don't see why we can't have a really great legends figure AND a really good current talent elite. What I don't understand is why a figure as obscure and limited as the Zodiac gets a lot of special treatment while so many current elites are totally junked with bad arm/boots/torso/legs/head/attire choice and execution.

For the record, AEW hasn't released a single true legends figure yet and you can't even find their figures in stores.
Not everyone wants legends. The hardcore adult collectors might want legends (and that's not a guarantee, just a 'might') but they're not the only ones buying these figures. Like it or not, there's still the element of kids liking these and they deserve to have figures just as nice as the adults do. And don't go off about "The kids won't care..."
I was a child collecting action figures and I cared. I remember being really angry that the only April figure I could get ahold of was the one with the orange stripes when, in all of the Turtles episodes I had seen, she had the plain yellow jumpsuit. And, when I reached my teens, even things like mislabeled card details and poorly matched accessories made me angry. Kids can be collectors too and can and do get angry about this stuff.
Legends aren't the end all be all of this hobby, regardless of what this board, the creators, or anyone else might think.

Maybe they put more time and focus on a "1 and done" type of figure (Kama, Zodiac), over version 236 of Rollins or Styles?

I'll probably get this one. I like the obscure gimmicks.

This figure is beautiful. Like the attire especially the design on the boots. The cloth sleeves with streamers makes this a 10/10

Just a thought, the head of the Zodiac - with the wide open eyes and hair horn in the front could convert nicely to a custom Missing Link figure.

It's been known for years that Bill has always wanted to do Zodiac, and someone else mentioned Kama ,another one that Bill has always wanted to do. You can kind of connect the dots if you want to on that.

i'll never forget when Bill asked if we wanted a Hugh Morrus.....and it was crickets we could've had another dungeon of doom member. Then Bill Demott got fired a year or 2 after and we lost our chance.
