We are just on the downward wave from Sdcc and the first roller coaster of a crowd fund. Hard to get back to that hype, but holidays are around the corner and new stuff will be shipping in the next few months. These things are selling! So Hype or not, mattel is making money and will continue to pump out new products.

I think a lot falls on WWE’s shoulders for this.
It’s one thing about legends and legends contracts. But as far as main roster and NXT there’s some issues. When they were doing the NXT exclusive line, that energized me as I liked the product and wanted the NXT roster. Since they stopped it, I don’t watch or follow NXT like I used to and when I check in I’m generally underwhelmed outside of a guy here and there (Bron Brekker is becoming a favorite however). Then we’re down to the main roster. Not much there for FTITL figs and you get tons of the same people over and over. They haven’t really made a lot of new stars and when they do the figures have been sparingly released (Riddle is a good example). I was really having fun with figures when the crowdfunding campaign happened but it’s cooled off drastically for me. However I’ve been collecting AEW too so its help fill the void and save me a few bucks.

No. I still love the figures we’re getting.

I don’t know if it’s necessarily lack of hype, but I think it’s the. frustration with certain things like distribution. As far as getting one half of a tag team, I can see the annoyance but at the same time if these are the deals that Mattel is allowed to work with why not pump them out before the window closes. Maybe at a later date they could get the other half but the one they already made wouldn’t be available any longer. I think if you’re someone who likes buying from stores it can be frustrating when ringside and other online retailers are pumping out E89 while your local retailers are stuck on E85/86. The CEs are difficult to come by initially but as someone mentioned it’s really only Bulldog that’s held it’s value after the initial FOMO panic buying. It’s been an interesting experience coming back to collecting around May but overall aside from trying not to purchase pricey pieces I’ve missed out on things are going okay

I might need to clarify something. I love love love this line. Have been collecting for near 4 years again now took me a while to get back into after stopping after jakks classics ended so I have caught up for the most part the last few years.
I just hope Mattel can keep fans excited for future of the line. New figs shown yesterday are fantastic, Earthquake Dakota Big E and Yoko Rumble figs are amazing and Mania series looks exciting.
The Goon looks incredible so would be great to get more mid/lower-card talent from these era's.
Distribution is a bit of a disaster especially overseas lets hope with Pandemic near ending/easing things will improve.

I’ve sold off all my post Ruthless Agression era figures. Just collecting that era and prior now makes collecting so much less stressful. I have never been caught up before on new releases.

The last figure I got was E81? Nakamura just for the IC title, then trashed the figure.
I went into a Wal-Mart the other day and saw 3 pegs loaded with elites, and maybe 10-15 elites on the shelf under, and thought to myself..."damn Mattel figures have gone downhill." Pretty decent reflection of the current product.
The quality of the figures has gotten better, but the lines are loaded with people I couldn't care less about.
We don't even have a solid Bret Hart or Kurt Angle, but hey...we have an immaculate Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar. Yay

Its great if you only collect a certain era of wrestling for sure makes things so much easier and manageable for me I collect all eras so its a headache of my own choosing
