I hate when workers don’t do what they are paid to do, sometimes they act like it’s not their job to help the customer when looking for items in the back, yeah sure it’s probably not something you do everyday but it is something that you get paid to do even if you don’t get asked everyday As for the young man getting fired? No, I’d much rather complain and get a gift card or something, and I actually get way more out of that end up then I would out of getting the poor guy fired Only employee I ever went for far with was recently when a man accused me of stealing target bags (since they started charging for them) and I clearly did not, I told him I didn’t and I put the correct amount of bags, he told me no I watched you put 0 bags but it’s ok you can go, well after showing my receipt to the manager and pretty significant altercation with the man plus a call to corporate, I didn’t campaign for the man to get fired but I did not have problem if they did, I mean getting accused of stealing which I really feel was racially profiling me, it just didn’t sit well with me Lol sorry for the rant Jesus christ, you'd expect a gift card over something like this? Literally  off. Next thing you know a bidding war breaks out with the store manager & corporate on how much money is put on the gift card. |

And here you have some examples of why I’m overly friendly to retail workers. I hope I can somehow readdress the balance
Imagine having to leave a sick family member at home, or worrying about meeting your mortgage payment. Or what your going to eat tonight and you have to put up with this
Even if this is a made up story things like this do happen to retail staff

It’s also people like you that will don’t know what’s important about running a retail business Ask any owner what would they rather thee employee do, any person with half a mind for running retail will always tell you to help the customer, your probably one of those lazy workers that don’t want to do their job correctly and lay around as a lifeless body until it’s time to go home, but hey if you get paid to do that more power to you, but others don’t I hate when people on here act like they have such great morals lol |

So you asking them for anything interrupts them from doing what they were ordered to do. Yeah, it sucks for the customer, but it sucks for the employee, too. The one you should be angry at is the corporation that refuses to allow stores to hire more people so that customers can be helped in a timely manner AND work can be completed by the workers. And why should employees put in more effort when they’re paid crap and treated like crap? If you put in 100% effort, you get paid the same as if you put in as little effort as possible. They don’t own the company so why should they care beyond their own survival? There’s no incentive in corporate retail to do a good job. I understand money ain’t that great for let’s say a worker at target, but I still do believe if you do your job well you will eventually get paid what you deserve, I’ve seen plenty of people who have always helped with anything I’ve needed at target and over the months or sometimes years I eventually see them moved up to a higher position and get paid what they deserve, maybe it’s just me, but if I get paid to do something I’m gonna do it as best as I can |

This has to be another lie. Nobody is this much of a prick…well, many are, but most aren’t stupid enough to brag about getting someone fired before the holidays because they didn’t bring out your toys fast enough, and for having the nerve to take a tone with you - which, if any of this is true, is a tone that you’re probably used to hearing from anyone who has the misfortune of dealing with you with any regularity.
I’ll play along and feed the troll only to make the point that anyone who would try to get someone fired over something so petty mustn’t have worked a day in their life. I’m against cancel culture because nobody should lose their livelihoods unless they are actively trying to harm someone. Peeking in the back (which you’re not supposed to do) because the guy took too long is bad enough. Stooging them off to a manager is a chump move. Threatening to call corporate if the person isn’t fired is a sign of severe mental and emotional instability. You should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking that you’d get support over something so petty.
