Because he is wrong. One look on CrazyTights at the singlets he wore in ECW vs his later singlets will show how much higher quality the design is on the WM23 singlet vs everything he wore pre-2001. It doesn’t fit the time period and his explanation doesn’t match up. I was asking if he was wrong. Hell, idk what the man wore back in 2007 , let alone 1993. I figured the guy who wore it would know more than the average fan googling it online. So that’s why I was asking cause I have no idea. He’s smoked a looooot of weed lol |

What % chance is there that we see a first time legend/flashback? Just ONE? Or are we going to go through another whole set of reveals with repaints and a couple new scans of the same old guys? 😩🙏🏻 Isn’t Chief jay strongbow a new legend?👀 We had already seen that though, nothing new this time around. CJS still a bit of a stretch given he retired in 86! Can’t be many collectors who have super fond memories of him and his matches?! As for Mean Mark, it’s great and I’ll get it but again, a bit of a stretch to say it’s a new guy. Mattel need to sign some more names/WWE need to allow it - it’s really starting to run dry. |

Wrestlers normally lose track of a lot of stuff like that but do have a general idea of stuff like that. Especially when you’ve went through SOOO many matches (night after night) and hundreds of different pairs of tights, trunks, singlets. It’s not even unheard of them to foible years. I’ve heard Bret talking about matches he had in ‘91 happening in ‘94. You are so active for so long, crapgets foggy. |

Customs vs. mass production is such a weird argument.
It's like comparing the motel wall art prints you can get for $10 at Home Goods with something you'd find in the Musée d'Orsay and complaining that the mass produced, ten dollar suburban mom art isn't as inspired or timeless as The Church at Auvers.

Any recollection I have of him wrestling comes from the Colosseum videos. |

Honestly it’s really depressing seeing customizers make better work than an entire toy company using the already existing parts from said toy company. Mac_decals posted a red 2002 Edge he made months ago with accurate boots and the added details on Edge’s wrist wraps and seeing the official Mattel version next to it was just maddening how one guy did a better job in his free time than an entire team paid to do this. These things are mass produced and 90% of customs look like trash in real life. Comments like this are why bill hates coming on hereWell... this is Bills secret account. |

The thing that’s crazy to me is people are acting like I gave an example that is impossible to achieve. Literally just swap Edge’s calves and boots, and paint the wrists with accurate designs. You can keep everything else the same, the head the torso, the arm size, the attire deco, just fix the boots and wrist tape. They already have the right calves and boots in their catalog of parts. Everything they need to make an accurate product is already available to them. The them I am referring to being a billion dollar company I might add. It’s shameful that they make these choices, really. And it’s exactly what I was talking about when I made a thread about how I am not looking forward to pinless arms and legs becoming the norm. There is a level of detail and accuracy that Mattel used to have that they don’t have anymore and I don’t understand why or what happened to remove it. And it makes me sad that I’m already seeing it in Jazwares too. |

That's how I became a huge Ernie Ladd fan, even though he was well before my childhood. |
