Eh didn't really learn a thing from the Q&A, some of the questions weren't bad but as usual the answers pretty much tried to run in a circle until you forgot what the original question was. I wished they would have answered if they are actively trying to sign more new legends talent since they've lost rights to a lot of the ones they used to have all relatively in a short period of time. Seemed like a relatively harmless question that didn't require the song and dance. Instead we kinda got the usual "We want the same guys you do" line. To be fair, this question is basically answered in that it's been made clear over and over (and over) again that WWE is in the driver's seat with Legends. Mattel can't actively go out and sign names or they would do it is the impression that I get and have gotten for years but this still comes up. It's also been made clear that they consider new names as soon as WWE signs them. My way around what we already know is to call out the idea for them that Legends are still a priority so at least there are no rumors of any lines or inserts going away, which after the past couple of weeks seeing how people communicate and speculate are rumors I don't even want to have to see because it would add more headaches to my job and to anyone trying to enjoy this. I'm in no way pointing fingers or accusing anyone here - just trying to give a window into the thought process when knowing our discussions with Mattel can be limited. To Nivro's point I'd also like a CS-type situation but that was a perfect storm of Jeremy being who he is and the openness of the contract between Jakks and WWE that made that possible which just isn't the case now. To Steve's credit he and Bill are unbelievably transparent when compared to Marketing Managers I've seen on other toy lines, products, etc who really don't care about what they run at all and don't have anything to say with any sort of depth ever until they find a new job or move to a different brand within their company. I see that all the time. I tried my best to get some questions in that allude to some of the deeper points being brought up and I understand how for the hardcore audience which I consider myself a part of it can be dissatisfying, but it's our only option in most cases. Lots of these have to be geared towards those who are excited about the line in general and also anyone coming across this with new news that can join our community, grow it, and with new fans ultimately help to expand the lines so they feature more of what hardcore collectors like us want. From my seat, again I know my limits in asking - the Kane question for example was front and center for me but it was requested that we don't discuss it until Mattel was ready to comment on it which is exactly what happened and ultimately exactly what they did. So this is kind of where we ended up last time in that I don't really know what questions we're leaving out here but in some of these you can read between the lines the direction they're taking and it really just takes time until we get our answers. Looking forward to the next time we do a Q&A. I'll pledge now that if anyone has a dire, burning question that isn't like the one above (meaning that hasn't already been basically answered) that I am just completely missing, just tag me in the thread when you post the question. I'll at the very least answer back on whether or not I'll include it or if not, a quick bit of clarity as to why not. Hope this works for everyone.

That doesn't mean anything. Bronson Reed has been gone for 2 months and just had a figure released that wasn't even sculpted yet. Yeah but there’s no indication that he’s not. Him having recent merch is a good sign he’s still under contract unlike say someone like Luger where we’re kinda uncertain about. He does have a couple of new(er) shirts on WWEShop, plus that documentary that never ended up coming out. Which makes it all the more confusing as to why he hasn't had a figure in 5 years.

My question was, and maybe it was misinterpreted, was since Mattel has lost a lot of rights recently (Releases, AEW, etc...) if there was a push from Mattel to WWE to perhaps go after new guys to try to make up for the difference. I know they can't just sign anyone they want but im sure they can ask, and admittedly done so in the past but was just curious if there was increased initiative to do so due to the large amount of talent they've lost rights to in such a short time. I gotta figure this is the quickest they've lost rights to that many people in their 10 year plus history.

Especially considering that the WCW version(s) that most people want are an inexpensive figure that could be used to balance out the cost of the wave.

I get what you're saying but there's a fine line between general questions in a customer-geared video and phrasing something in a way that more directly questions or asks for answers on business practices that aren't appropriately discussed outside of company walls by people who aren't employed by that company...know what I mean? Either way I think you can have confidence in the fact that they are pretty on top of their Legends and options!

Mattel has always been weird with their Foley releases. Feels like the elite Mankind, the Amazon mankind, the basic mankind, and the RSC Jack all came out around the same time. Then he left and when he came back we got the repaints of Jack and the 2 Mankinds and then nothing again until the retro, Dude, and GM. Then nothing again until recently we got the elite 2 pack, basic 2 pack, and RSC Jack.

I had a friend that went to a Luger signing recently and Luger said he was still under a deal with WWE and that he has a great relationship with the company. I think it's more Mattel dragging it's feet really. "Right spot" and all I guess.

WCW Luger in black trunks, white boots and ponytail has been my biggest wants in the last 5 years. We’ve been asking for it and instead we got a Luger with facepaint. We’ve asked for a Elite DDP in jeans for years, nothing. I still want another WCW Bret. We could easily get another one that could double as a survivor series Bret minus the pink wrist tape.

Seems like Bill and Steve have a difference of opinion on the rip-able Hogan shirts. It won't happen, but I'd love to see RSC do a Hogan shirt pack with non ripped versions of all the ripped shirts Mattel has put out. I don't like the ripped shirts for display and the figure photography market is infinitesimal compared to the rest of the market.

It would give them the opportunity to update some of the missing detail they missed with the DM releases. People have been begging for a proper duster for years for Warrior and Macho could have a removable top.And add the wrist gauntlets as well.

Nothing really answered that I was curious about. Guess it’s a good thing I got that Legends DDP. Curious who the two new FTITL Legends will be. One has to be a woman. Cos Steve said there is other legend women other than Chyna/Trish coming. Maybe the rumoured Molly Holly figure!

I wonder who bill meant when he said they was kinda of in the middle of the list to come out but as soon as they came out in a specific gear they are at the top of the list 🤔

Is there a TLDR summary of the Q&A? Any highlights?

Went back to the Q & A and I’m hyper that Steve finally let us know that a jeans DDP will be next. Now, I’m wondering if it would be an elite or Ultimate Edition. At this point, I’d like it to be an Ultimate Edition with three heads (Straight faced, snarling like the old toybiz figure and smiling), vest removable diamond logo shirt, rib tape and light blue jeans. A title would be the icing on the cake, but at this point I just want this figure done correctly.
