Karrion Kross was not a "should've been" world champion. Dude was blander then vanilla. Vanilla is actually really good. We need to stop comparing bland/tasteless to vanilla. Vanilla is fire. How about we compare it to rice cakes. They really don't taste like anything.

I have no problem with Jeff in WWE in 2021. He is a name with star power. Think HBK in RA era. Issue is WWE not investing in younger talent unless your name is Roman.

I find this kinda thing funny. Not because I like the current product (I couldn't watch it if I was paid). But this feeling a lot of modern fans have that these no names deserved world title runs. Back in the day you had such stacked rosters that guys like Piper, Jake, Owen, Rude, Shamrock etc didn't get to go down as champs. Nowadays it's hotpotatoed so much that to not win the title is seen as some kind of insult. random anecdote, but you had me till shamrock. was too green in 97/early 98 and by the time he was well rounded in the ring the sizzle had come off the steak.

The last 2 people I liked I actually had faith in them doing something with have been released, it sucks seeing should be world champions like Sami, Cesaro, Shinskue, Aliesteir Black, Keith Lee and Karrian Kross just sent to rot on the main roster, I kept watching throughout this last year for Lee, Kross, Black, Owens,Zayn, and Shinskue and hoped they would actually do something with the top 3 having lost hope for the others, WWE has failed to build any new stars not named Roman, Seth or Ambrose in the last 5 years, if you ask what about Drew and Aj they were made stars by the time they returned to WWE, I'm just tired of seeing guys like Brock, Goldberg and Roman hog the title because they fail to build new stars. Why does everyone compare title reigns to being successful? As someone in this thread stated earlier, guys like Piper, Jake, and Mr. Perfect were successful without ever holding the world title. I’m not saying the guys you named were used right or anything, but you shouldnt stop watching because Sami Zayn never became a world champion. There’s nothing wrong with Roman being champion. He’s this era’s guy. His title reign has also been the best thing going. I’d rather a lengthy, meaningful title reign than a billion short title reigns just so everyone gets the belt. And also, if your issue is not enough people being world champion, going to AEW won’t help. They have a surplus of talent and in their 2+ years of existence, they’ve only had three world champions. One of which was a 50 year old man. I’m not complaining because I like a longer title reign, but there are plenty of talented guys on that roster that haven’t touched a belt. MJF, Jungle Boy, and Pride and Powerful haven’t had one reign. You don’t stop watching a product just because a certain guy didn’t win a title. That’s just childish and petty.

Jeff is making a living and staying sober so I’m fine with him staying on the roster.

I feel for the fans who can still watch WWE these days. I'll find it hard to invest any of my time knowing that on any given day your favourite superstar could be released. 😑

Jeff has no place in the WWE and should just retire Everyone has an opinion…. But you’re wrong. he has nothing left to give and is just sad in his current state

Everyone has an opinion…. But you’re wrong. he has nothing left to give and is just sad in his current state He actually does have plenty left to give. He’s a made superstar, he can help (try) to build the next generation of stars giving them credibility if they beat him and/or have a sting showing against him in defeat. So, again, not correct. There’s plenty left to give.

Jeff Hardy is still more entertaining than at least 80% of the roster which I can’t even remember to be honest. It’s sad to see WWE make one of the best merchandise sellers and popular/unique superstar into a glorified jobber. Jeff has more potential than that. I’d like him to be built up again and put into the main event scene.

So many people are unhappy there and when plenty of their stars leave that has to say something. I could honestly tell you that this is probably the least interested in wrestling that I have been in my whole entire life. The product is just bad and cheesy. Everything from the storylines to the lack of actual wrestling stages... I pretty much watch Reigns, Edge, Rollins Jeff’s segments on YouTube to skip the show. I’m also sure Willow would be entertaining and sell a lot of merchandise. It’s a side of Jeff we haven’t seen in WWE.

Wait ... people actually watch WWE? You obviously do because you are here talking about it all day, every day. If it were so bad you’d actually avoid it and focus on things you like. But nope, your life apparently revolves around something you clearly hate. Must be tough being so upset over people in spandex.

More people watch WWE than all other televised wrestling combined, I would expect. WWE does about 3.5 million a week. AEW does about 1.3 million a week. I don’t think ROH did anything significant to bridge that gap, and anything else would just be little local or obscure channels? And those are just the Nielsen numbers, which are speculative at best. In terms of YouTube, WWE’s channel is a juggernaut compared to anything else in wrestling.

Not everyone has to be World Champion. Surely Piper & Dibiase are proof of that.

But no, I do not watch RAW or Smackdown anymore and last week I gave up on NXT.
I do watch AEW weekly, and if I didn't have a wife, kid, and buds ... would probably watch ROH and MLW. But I don't. And Impact? LOL.

Might want to see which shows the majority of the US watches lol.

Kayfabe wise, I take guys like Piper, Owen, Rude, Shamrock, etc…more seriously than guys who have won world titles in the past decade. Guys like Swagger, Miz, ADR, and Kofi (I know this one will get hate) have helped to devalue world titles in the WWE (in additional to crap booking. At best, those guys were midcarders and booked like so for years before literally getting the world title out of nowhere (no big wins, no long-building story to get them to the top). Hell, I’ll even say Big E is in the same boat after being a solid midcarder for years and then hot shoted to the world title after simply winning a briefcase (yet couldn’t beat Apollo of all people just months earlier). I haven’t been watching Raw or SD for years, but of the guys released, I don’t see any as long term or legit main eventers. Guys like Kross and Lee would have simply devalued the world titles even more in my eyes like the ones I listed above. Not everyone needs to win a world title, and it’s not an insult if you don’t.
