If you could swap out a wrestler with another in any Mania match, the only caveat is they have to be somewhat active in that era so for example you can’t put Andre at WrestleMania 24 against Big Show, but you can say Hogan at WrestleMania 12 against HBK. It doesn’t matter what company they were in as long as they are active of sorts.

Ladder Match
HBK vs Macho Man Randy Savage
I have always felt as great as this match is, it really IS Shawn Michaels and a Ladder and as much as I like Razor, I always have to remind myself that he WINS this match! It’s 90% Michaels and 10% Razor. I think Savage would have been able to even it out a bit and take the high spots and delivery them right back to Michaels. Especially at this time, Macho wanted to work with Michaels and would have been out to prove something.
Had this match happened I think we’d still be talking about it even more so then the HBK/Razor match and it would have been a defining moment in each guys careers. And we would have gotten a Battle of Mr WrestleManias as I have always considered Macho to be for the first 10 WestleManias what HBK would become for the later Manias.

Instead of Warrior vs Slaughter, Warrior vs Hogan I would have loved to see a rematch at WrestleMania 7 between Hogan & Warrior, especially in the LA Coliseum which to this day I’m so bitter we never got that visual. It would have been the defining visual of that era. But back on point lol, I don’t know if I can sacrifice that Warrior/ Savage match at 7. That’s one of my favorite moments in all of wrestling how that all unfolds. 😬 …..I too would want to see a Hogan Warrior rematch though at 7 so nice pick! 😅 |

That would have been interesting, I wonder if the crowd would have been 50/50 or boo’d one guy. With the matches Savage still had in the tank in WCW, this match would have been another crown jewel on his resume that Vince just deprived us of for no reason at all. |

Yeah it probably wouldve been a match about respect but I wouldve loved if they turned Mach heel in the build.
Either way this match wouldve kicked all types of ass.

Angle vs. Taker at Mania 22. Imagine the match they had at No Way Out the month prior at Wrestlemania. Would have been up there with Michaels/Taker Mania 25. Obviously Batista getting injured caused shuffling but I feel like Angle vs. Taker and Rey vs. Orton either of which for the World Title would have been much better stories than what we got (Henry/Taker and Angle essentially playing 3rd wheel to the Rey/Orton rivalry).

Now if I could add someone to a Wrestlemania match and remove someone from a Wrestlemania match:
Add Harper to Orton vs Bray. It would have made perfect sense for Luke to be involved considering the story and would have given us a better match.
Remove Charlotte from the Wrestlemania 35 main event. I’m a Charlotte fan. I get why you’d want her in the match. The story though of Becky taking her spot at the top by beating Ronda did not need Charlotte or the Smackdown Womens Title involved. Becky should have made Ronda tap in the middle of the ring to end the show. Simple.

That would have been interesting. I can’t imagine Savage facing Steamboat and NOT being a heel lol. I think the only thing that changed about babyface Savage & heel Savage was the opponents haha, so I wonder how that would have played out. I think because they had such an epic match the year prior, they would be able to have a baby face bout similar to how HBK & Razor had an all babyface match at Summerslam following WMX. The match itself is babyface if that makes sense haha, fans just wanna see it again. I think Steamboat/Savage would have been able to pull that off, I’d just be slightly concerned with Savage fresh off a face turn, getting him in there with Steamboat might showcase him in a heel light again…but I also think it can be a HBK/Razor situation where the fans just loved the match so much that they can cheer all participants. |

Bam Bam would make sense but you’d lose an opponent for LT. Could have maybe bumped up the fief with Kama. Tatanka? Don’t think that would have worked well either. What I would have done is turned Luger. Finally breaks down and takes the money. Sure Lex sucked but I’m sure he could have had a decent match with the deadman. Then you could have had Bulldog take on Kama or Tatanka. |

Then you could have had Bulldog take on Kama or Tatanka. It’s true man, WrestleMania 11 was a BLAH ‘Mania for sure haha. It was even held in Connecticut so you knew it was gonna be bad. I would have probably gone Taker/ Diesel at 11 and then done the rematch at 12 or Taker/ Vader at 12 instead of Vader being in the 6 man which could be replaced with just about anybody. And while Bam Bam did a perfect job in retrospect, I would have gone HBK/ LT at 11 because Shawn was easily the best heel in the company and took the best bumps, and people would have genuinely wanted to see him get his against LT. Bam Bam was a GREAT heel and I can’t understate how perfect he was in that match, marketing wise and match wise I would have gone LT/HBK just because it would have been a bigger deal IMO and Shawn would have sold his *** off. I also would have featured Shawn in the highest profile match possible coming off the Ladder Match at 10 and left Taker to walk Diesel through the title match. Also, the roster was so thin at that time, Why WERE Bulldog & Luger, 2 potential top singles guys stuck in a Tag Team? That never made sense to me |

Hogan vs Sting or Sting vs Warrior I would like to have seen either of those matches.
Another I would have loved to have seen would have been Sting vs Undertaker at WMVII. A nice 30-35 minute match. I always wanted that era much more than Crow Sting vs Undertaker. I mean good vs evil, light vs darkness I felt it wrote itself.
Also WM2 instead of a boxing match vs Mr T I would have loved to have seen Piper vs Snuka on the grandest stage of them all. It’s too bad the height of their feud was before WrestleMania & PPV’s.

Piper and Rude never really got a blow-off to their feud in 1989, a match at WM6 would have been great. Rude could have cheated to win, keeping Piper strong and giving Rude the big win before going into a feud with the Warrior for the WWF title. I also like the Savage/Santana match for WM2, they could have saved the Savage/Steele feud for Superstars, Challenge, and SNME's, and I think Tito and Savage could have had an amazing match at WM. I also like the addition of the Rockers v P&G at WM. They too never got a blow-off to their feud and we never really saw Shawn get his revenge on them for their attack on him at SSL90. |
