Yeah, I was hoping for that look, too. The Steamboat and Jake's seem to go together. The Jake's are from 1986 when he feuded with Steamboat, so I wonder if that's why they went with that Steamboat attire instead of his 1991 Dragon look. 

1.I want this set at creations so none of us have to pay 35-50$ for these.

2. Steve has bent over backwards to make mnw available online starting s5. Why have superstars gotten the shaft. Why does he never answer any questions about this line even from mods ever in at least the past year. Dont you feel alone? That is enough to drive anyone crazy. He interacts with every mattel thread BUT THIS ONE. There is ZERO transparency. We are being completely ignored. 158 pages of silence from mattel. No explanations given to why we cant find these in stores, no remedies given to help us out. NOTHING. JUST RADIO SILENCE.

3. Your walmart is barely ever frequented. Imagine going into walmart 30 times a week at least and not finding anything for 6 months+ until i visited yours where i found mr.perfect almost a year after he was released.

4. Figures are available on ebay 6 months before anyone sees them in stores and they are supposed to be walmart exclusives. Want s10? Visit sultan of swat? Missed s6? Dont worry sultan has 100s of mr.perfects in his warehouse. Walmart? What is that a small mom and pop store?

5. Figures are overproduced and end up at bargain prices after everyone paid at least 4x+ as much for them if talking retail prices. They slowly trickle out as to give the impression that these are limited and multiple waves get skipped. Then a year later they show up on wm.com for 4$. Your walmart is exceptional dude, all the new ultimates were just sitting there. That is extremely rare in pa/wv/ny/nj.

I could go on and on man, but after 3
years i threw in the towel last march. I will wait till they all go on clearance on black friday on ebay. Walmart and mattel wont get another dime from me until they are out of walmart. Still surprising to see that despite multiple people speaking out asking for help and answers that noone has gotten a reply unless they added the word mnw in their question. If mattel genuinely doesnt know why these are available from other vendors than insert reasons a-z. Its all too much bs for me. I am a straight shooter. At my age i earned that badge. I dont like companies or people that dodge questions leaving us in the dark. We are paying their salaries. Without us buying these plastic statues none of them would be in business.

That is why i and others are frustrated.


Edit: yes the new figures look great. Will we find them? How much gas money you want to spend on a figure that will clearance out at 4$. Its important to keep that in mind... its all too much of a hassle for a toy line. They are not piecws of gold. All the motuwwe figures have gone down in price BECAUSE THEY TOO WERE OVERPRODUCED and they too were put out one case at a time only to show up on wm.com for a few dollars. nothing has changed between walmart and mattel in 8 years!! SAME BS. Even the retro community suffered UNTIL THEY SPOKE UP AND NOW THEY ARE ON CREATIONS. if we all scream in unison like the mnw guys did in their thread we would get change. But me and flair and a few others are doing the dirty work.

ITS TIME.

We can get changes. The mnw figures will be available again starting 2025. Imagine how lonely canadians collectors feel. Noone speaking out for them. They have gotten nothing after s4. Time has passed to sit on the sidelines and ooh and aah. Its now or never

Hey now! We got S5 and S10 on WalMart.ca for a brief moment (luckily I was able to snip them), so that's......something, lol.

Every figure up to series 3 ended up wm.com for about 4$ over a period of months. They did not sell out so they will most likely sell for even less next time around. S4-5 are on their way to that same fate. S6 got hijacked by resellers. S7 and s8 production was spread out over 7 months and still being put out one case at a time. We have the impression that they arent making a lot but i ran the numbers before. One case × 4200 walmarts × 7.25 months is a lot of andre the giants. I believe production has ramped up but instead of them showing up at retail people are forced to pay 40+ on ebay. That is the real problem. They could make 100k but if they are only available by a few resellers than the prices stay high.

These figures have been selling in lots for 5$ a piece. Check ebay history over last 3 months. These figures are not holding their value which is why so many full collections are going up for firesale prices. Noone is paying more than 5$ a figure in large lots.

On ebay.ca you will see american listings mixed in with canadian listings. Set location for canada only. You will know if they are canadian figures if the yellow star is missing in front however they stopped that after s3. From what several sellers told me after s4 they were no longer put on shelves.

I saw it, at least 2 maybe 3 times at 2 different Walmarts.

Once and I bought them and i usually am able to shop at 5 different Wal Marts per week.

To date what’s the rarest superstar out there that been released? Mr perfect? Bam bam bigelow, Mr T. ?
