If there was a choice of hasbro / ljn era that’s what I would have picked. I picked golden / new generation over just hasbro era simply because I dig them putting out guys from before hasbro got the license too. My main wants are hasbro era guys though. I could list future line ups all day long (I’ve been listing retro wants on wfigs for years lol) so it’s tough to just pick four but here they are…
1991 Sgt. Slaughter- Iraqi wearing boots gifted from Saddam Hussein 1991 Tugboat - they should have already done this. 1991 Macho King- Long tights that hasbro should have made - can we have a removable hat? 1991 Jake the Snake - Blue tights from the snake bite on Macho Man - give us a cobra accessory!
And I want Hogans. And managers / announcers.

Golden but I’m hoping the quality gets better. Sculpts seem to be similar amount of detail as before. Really hope they do sculpted singlets this time. And that kick action looks terrible. Great to play with by how many collectors play with their figures!?

My wants are similar to my ftitl wants for the elite line. If these guys got signed, I would want them in both lines. Essentially those who never got made in the hasbro line. Hercules, dino bravo, Haku, the genius, bad news brown, brother love, rougeau brothers, barbarian, zeus, Luna Vachon, etc.
Hillbilly jim, king kong bundy, big john studd, brain busters, men on a mission, USA luger, hart foundation neidhart, tugboat would all be good picks. I would also like to see any managers like heenan, jimmy hart, slick, mr fuji, miss elizabeth, sherri. I prefer the hasbro era to complement the existing hasbro line. We've already seen some attitude era guys in the regular retro line. That was enough.

Aside from guys that didn't get hasbro but were right in that era, also like to see different attires - the Rockers, Macho Man, USA Lex Luger, Evil Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, both pink and blue Hart Foundation, Warrior from Royal Rumble 91 and WM6, Virgil in bodyguard days. There are so many potential options.

I would like a hulk hogan WM 1 look to go with mr t, Old school Vinny Mac,Superstar Billy Graham & Lex Lurther (America).
Let’s face it you can’t spell Retro without getting a hulkster in the line, he was the merchandise seller back in the 80s & 90s.

I’m up for any and all eras, other than pre-Hulkamania.
Ideal second set for me: Undertaker (no hat), Paul Bearer, Kama, Mabel
Or
Jerry Lawler, Isaac Yankem, Bob Backlund, British Bulldog
Or
Vader, Faarooq, Rocky Maivia, Shawn Michaels
But there are tons of wrestlers I’d love to see done: Rey Mysterio, Booker T, Harlem Heat, USA Lex Luger, Sgt Slaughter with no hat, Papa Shango with no hat, Macho King/Man with long tights, Miss Elizabeth, Chyna, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Edge, Boogeyman, Kofi without the legs stuck together (Tollins and Goldberg too), Booker T, Hart Foundation Anvil, Flyin Brian, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, two Ravishing Rick Rudes, Bobby Heenan, Col Mustafa, Alundra Blayze, Asuka, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Lashley, Eddie Guerrero, John Cena (without hat), Vince McMahon, Howard Finkel, Jimmy Hart, Rikishi, WCW Luger, JBL, the APA, MVP, RVD, Batista, black trunks HHH, Drew McIntyre, Alexa Bliss, Sensational Sherri, Trudh Stratus, Lita, Beth Phoenix, The Miz, Godfather, and plenty more.

I think my biggest want is for Mattel to try and fill the gaps of the known missing pieces of the Hasbro series as best as possible. If they could only make four? I would have to say Tugboat, Hart Foundation Jim Neidhart (to match the first Bret), Mabel, and USA Luger.
It would be awesome if they could do a R&B Greg or a Megamaniacs Beefcake. Selfishly, those aren’t huge wants for me Chella is already making a similar Greg and I own nearly perfect customs of each.
If they were to make just figures they never produced, I would probably say Heenan, Monsoon, Fuji, and Bob Backlund.

First off no jumpers. (Unless they redesign it so the legs aren’t straight legged and attached to each other.) I always hated that feature and it always seemed like the wrestlers I wanted most were made jumpers.
“Mr Wonderful” Paul Orndorff Bret “Hitman” Hart - WM2 & WM3 Jim “Anvil” Neidhart - WM2 & WM3 Road Warriors - removable shoulder pads Triple H - hHh trunks “Superstar” Billy Graham- 70’s Jesse “the Body” Venture- ring gear “Magnificent” Muraco Hulk Hogan WM1 & Hollywood Dream Team Valentine & Beefcake Midnight Express Cactus Jack Ivan & Nikita Koloff Magnum TA 4 Horsemen set (Flair, Arn Anderson, Blanchard & Windham)
Not going to happen but Surfer Sting Steiner Brothers British Bulldogs Superfly
Other than those there’s really nobody else I would be willing to spend the money on.

Voted for Golden/New Gen.
Pretty much anything from 88-early 98 is what I really want. Plus I don't mind WCW.
Ideal 4 pack for me would be: Tugboat Heel Jake (91 fued w/ Macho) Hart Foundation Bret and Anvil (1990/early 91' tag champs run)
I may be slightly biased though based on what I already own customs of like USA Lex, R&B Greg, long trunks Macho etc. Otherwise some of those may have wound up on that list.

To be honest I was never dying for hasbro style figures of guys before the hasbro era started which was around wrestlemania 5. I bought the wave 1 to support the line but I only really wanted mean gene. I hope they focus more on the hasbro era.
I also hope they don't do too many guys who already had a hasbro unless it is a major look change or improvement. Rick rude, ric flair, 91 dragon Ricky steamboat, and neon cowboy macho man spring to mind.
Powers of pain never had hasbros and should have. Toyetic.
Some new Gen guys would make really fun retros. Max moon, Damien demento, Henry godwinn, Duke droese, mantaur, Abe knuckleball, Hakushi, men on a mission, even Brooklyn brawler

Will never understand people who only want a bunch of figures Hasbro already made. We're getting 8 figs a year and people want to waste spots on a 4th Bret, 5th HBK, 6th Hogan and a 7th Macho? Insane.
When I was a kid I dreamed of getting all the ljn and jakks guys in Hasbro scale. I don't want a retro collection that only represents 4 and a half years, the same way I don't want a mattel collection that only represents 2010-present.
My top 4 priorities are Vader, Jerry Lawler (93), Brainbusters and Ahmed Johnson.
But I have a huge list of wants. Paul Bearer, Mr Fuji, Haku, Barbarian, King Kong Bundy, Nikolai Volkoff, Power and Glory, Bad News Brown, Genius, Big John Studd, King Harley Race, Dynamite kid, Sherri, Jeff Jarret (95), Brian Pillman, Mantaur, Bastion Booger, Mabel, Jim Cornette, Faarooq (debut), Cactus Jack, Dude Love, 123 Kid/xpac, Surfer Sting, Hollywood Hogan, Hall, Nash, DDP, Raven, Jushin Liger, Ultimo Dragon, Terry Funk, Edge, Christian, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, RVD, William Regal, Booker T, Batista, Dudley Boyz, Tazz, Hurricane, Umaga, CM Punk, Cesaro

With the limited number of spots, the mid card and obscure need to take a back seat. That was my problem with Bob Orton, who should have been Hogan. Get the biggest names possible done. Hogan, Bret, 90s HBK, Luger, Razor Ramon etc. The Mantaurs and Geniuses are not going to have a place in such a limited lineup. Plus, be realistic. 1) If they don't have an elite/legends/flashback already, are they getting a retro? 2) If you think the Romans and Rollins etc aren't getting another, you're kidding yourself. I expect the next wave to have a Fiend.

I think it would be wise for them to cover every era from 85 to 2000, with the main focus being on 90-96. That said, the ones that would personally want/spend money on would be 94/96.
To me, an ideal 4-pack would be something like Faces of the New Generation set with 95/96-era Bret Hart, HBK, Diesel, and King Mabel all with totally molded entrance gear classic Hasbro style (IE, Bret W/jacket, Shawn in vest/chaps/hat, Diesel in vest with long hat sculpt, Mabel with crown, etc.)
