I've got both but not gonna sell them so the price going up or down doesn't matter at all to me,if this gets some people that didn't have them a chance to get'em for under couple hundred dollars sounds like a win win for everybody to me.

I’d like to see a re-release of the Wcw Ultimate Warrior so I can get it for a decent price It was widely available at retail (and easy to obtain) so wouldn't make much sense. I’m not positive, but I think series 4 may have been the only set that wasn’t widely available and had lower production #’s. I don’t remember series 5 being at retail with Cena/Becky. Obviously series 6 wasn’t either with Charlotte exclusive to RSC and Rock on Amazon. Not sure how the production numbers stack up between those two sets and series 4.

I hope we could get another run of the white/black ringside madness Macho Man. It’s one of the Macho’s I need for my nWo collections. Updated headscan and new arms would be greatly appreciated. I'm really surprised we haven't seen that Macho attire again (except the Retro) - it would make an awesome Ultimate Edition though... So they’ve rereleased a few RSEs I can think of with slight differences. Brock, Cactus, and Kane come to mind. I’d like this over another of the same old one. Let’s make it happen fellas. I’m down for a petition, plus that vest would be a throwback to the WCW/NWO figure. He could have the new Ultimate Edition scan.

They are toys everyone should be able to get them at the MSRP. And if someone thought it was worth it to spend an extra $50 on ebay to obtain it then that’s on them. That’s not Mattel’s problem.
We'll have to agree to disagree man. For me (and I think others), part of the fun and thrill of toy collecting is rarity.
Would I love my Hasbros just as much today if I could go out and buy them all at retail? I don't think so. These Ultimates are years old figures -- and I could see people who thought they had rare versions (and I'm not talking about scalpers, who I don't care bout) being a little bummed they are no longer rare
If you don’t enjoy something if it’s not rare, then maybe you don’t really like it to begin with?

Hasbro 91-94, 30 years ago. Some who collect them were not even born then This ultimate series 2019. Poor analogy

They’re not supposed to be rare. Things happened and there was a period of time where Target was not getting Ultimates and it hurt the availability of series 4 and 5. It’s not like they re-issuing SES Punk for retail or some other kind of store exclusive that was hard to come by.

Mattel needs to stop re-releasing the same figures since I like to know what I own has gone up in value since that's part of the collecting game. If anybody wanted them you should have bought them the 1st time like I did. 👍

If I was mattel I’d look at all the figs which go for hundreds online and rerelease
Why not? Why should a random person profit when mattel puts all the work in?

This great news of the re-release due to limited outlet and production run.
If someone paid a "high price" I assume it is due to the person wanting that particular figure that bad.
At least more people will have tge opportunity to get them now with another production run.
I wonder when they will be available?

This is my choice for the next NWO Macho Man. Need the jacket, the shirt, the bandana, and the WCW title. Could be an Ultimate Edition figure if need be.

I was thinking while they’re at it, they should revise that torso and give him the butterfly joints. I absolutely hated that Finn balor torso. It looks so odd on the sides.

If you already have them and have no intentions of selling them, how does it effect your life in anyway if people who missed out first time now have the chance to get them at a reasonable price?
I would welcome this across all action figure and collectible lines to be honest with you.
If something is initially released as a "limited edition" then I could see why someone would be mad. However for a general release figure? I do not get peoples negatively to it at all

These are displayable children's toys at the end of the day, anyone against collectors for wanting affordable rereleases because they’re afraid of their valuation plummeting needs to step back and really reassess why they collect. This isn’t real estate, calm down. Really wish folks would stop over-commodifying every aspect of their life.

I love value as much as the next guy, but this has always been an all time bad take.
It's ignorant to think people don't have different circumstances, at varying times in life, that affect what and when they are able to collect.
It's not all about you bud.
(Important to note I own both figures as well)

I think Bill and/or Steve has said that they keep an eye on secondary market prices to gauge what characters warrant another release. There are obviously some figures - like Martel or Harley Race - where another figure just isn't possible. But figures should be widely available for those who want them.

Inflation of recent product is a pet hate of mine 30 year old figures going for 100s fair enough but a figure a company has only in the last year or two out thousands into producing, developing etc and Jonny buys it for £30 and flips 6 months later for £200 is just classless imo
