If so I paid way too much for my HBK  I’m new to the figure community my son has played for years but really just started keeping some for my own this year and was drawn to the UE collection. Has Mattel done Re-releases before ? I know there are multi of the same figure in the same attire or close to it but I always assumed once it was gone it was gone in terms of the same figure packaging etc. Thanks |

I wouldn't want a straight rerelease, but I'd love to see them updated with the current articulation.

I always trust people when they say "word on the street" without any actual proof.
Unless Steve comes out and says it, take it with a grain of salt.
Personally I don't see them straight re-releasing unless they're doing some kind of "Top Talent" line for the UE's.

I personally don’t. Give us new attires if anything. The smiling HBK scan is not that great to begin with even after a hair repaint. I want a DX in your house Ultimate. The ringside ex was a true disappointment.

The only way I see a rerelease is if it's used as a stop gap for something. Kind of like the "lost legends" wave.

Just another run as-is of the old wave. It’s not in place of new figures. The previous run was pretty low and there’s was a lot of consumer and retailer interest so we’ll do one last run to fulfill the requests. Plus it’s a great way to get a great Brock out quickly now that he’s available to us again while we continue to work on a modern Brock. |

I’d be kinda bummed if they do Bret after I paid eBay prices for him 😂
But my god if mattel would reissue some of the most expensive figs out there (DM Bret, 96 Jake, NWO Macho) it would be great for collectors.

well we're supposed to be getting another HBK Ultimate revealed soon, Fan Takeover. while i'd like to get a crack at Lesnar for "retail"... i also understand i had multiple chances to and passed so thats on me.

Mattel won’t straight rerelease these figures because that would piss a lot of collectors off. They might tweak the packaging and a figure a little bit but you’ll definitely be able to tell which figs we’re the original and which were the rerelease.
