I didn’t realize expecting ring attire to be accurate was a hot take

Glad to hear Bret's kneepads will be fixed. That was the one that bothered me. (Not saying the other inaccuracies are fine, or that people shouldn't complain about them or etc. just that the kneepads were the serious one that bothered me.)

Since Bulldog is in each case so that means RSC will be getting him, too, does anyone expect him to be the chase price of $37.99(I know he’s CE but I’m giving a reference/example)? Or do you think it will be below $30?

Paying £20 to see Harry cosplaying as his dad? No thanks. It was exactly how I expected it to be. Holy shit! Someone else sees it. I’m sorta glad I’m not the only one but at the same time it ruins the figure quite alot when you notice so….sorry for your loss.

Why is it so crazy for someone to expect a figure to look like the wrestler?
Wrong kneepads, details missing on tights, armbands placed wrong, forehead the size of the moon
These seem like some honest criticisms, these are supposed to be premium figures, mattels constantly getting height, body size , colors and more wrong. If you want the figures to look accurate then you basically have to customize half the figures you buy

I don't understand why people get upset for some of us pointing out innacurracies...I got crap on Instagram for pointing out that Luger's wrist tape should be black and that Hogan's torsos should be thicker. These aren't things I had to Google...I just know from being a long time fan. I do look up matches and photos after the fact to make sure I'm not wrong, but it's not a "let's look up pictures in order to pick these figures apart." I get that some people aren't perfectionists and don't care about these little details, but don't criticize others for thinking differently. Because we have 15 threads and 1000s of post EVERYTIME a new figure is released and it’s never done any good, it’s just like everytime you do a QnA it’s the same questions as in “will we ever get this or that guy” knowing what the answer is going to be. As much inaccuracies we’ve had for the past 15 years or whatever it is, and this inaccuracies has gotten worse , it’s not ever going to be fixed. Just stay out of these threads then angry person, it's as easy as that.

This is the place to discuss what we like and what we dislike about these figures. It’s the same people who get upset at us critics who probably emailed Mattel immediately when they heard that new parts were being mailed for Kane. Their response was “oh well, he’s wears a cape and will be on display, who cares”. At the end of the day we are paying for our hobby. We can’t help, but to question certain choices. It’s odd when someone here could point out what’s wrong with an attire, part choice etc as opposed to someone who is professionally getting paid to make these decisions. No, this isn’t a dig at Bill. Granted, there are things we probably don’t know and we’ve gotten some insight, but sometimes there are just bad decisions like “designer liked that torso” etc. There have been instances where Mattel says that certain talent can approve or reject the look of a figure and that’s understandable…. I do believe now that Mattel does have a spreadsheet or at the very least a formula for parts that make up certain heights. The latest example could be Hogan, both him and Cesaro are around similar heights share the same Sheamus torso, same legs minus the boots. Flashback Triple H, repainted Sheamus not bothering to give him actual tights rather than painted on legs.

MDT has been phoning it in for a long time. outside of some ultimates and some nice additions here and there in the elite lines. and the ultimate Doink. i'm over their figures. they can do better but they don't. 11 years to get double jointed elbows. probably they are overworked and don't get paid enough. but it's a bummer looking at a lot of these figures lately.
I also bought literally 10 elite tiger RVDs and all 10 of them had some gross black paint slop on the attire.
Consequently i just sold off all my figures. I had 250 and have about 20 left.

And there are some situations where clearly budget, deco limitations, etc come into play, and that's understandable. But in all fairness, a lot of the issues are ones where the cost is irrelevant. Parts choices, knee pad style, correctly matching colors, etc aren't about the cost or price point. Releasing a janky looking head sculpt that is pretty widely roasted doesn't cost more than using an existing sculpt or simply improving the hairline. I don't get as bent out of shape as some do. But at the same time, there's nothing wrong with expecting a realistic standard of quality and decision making. Just because they aren't premium figures doesn't mean I'm going to give them a pass on things that could be caught with a 15 second Google search.

Totally agree Difference between colour knee pads etc and other things you raised are not big deco hits nor really have any excuse to be wrong All I really collect is brets so I really want a better scan but as we both agree elites are far from premium figures 🙂👍 Mattel also get a lot of undeserved grief imo - look at the funko best axn figures which is their line of ‘realistic’ action figures and the scans / sculpts are awful and are elite cost equivalent

Good lord. The figures are both perfect. Stop crying. I don't remember the last time we had a "perfect" Bret. Face is always off.

I bought the first bulldog elite, even though the headscan was way off (looks like Harry as already mentioned). This is just the a easy rehash of the basic of this attire, just more articulation. And not bothering to try to create a better facial likeness is well lazy. Other companies seem to be able to make a better likeness.
