We all know that one match always leads to another. Imagine in 2022 Stone Cold Steve Austin becomes a 7 time WWE Champion. I’d love to see it happen 100%. That would be one of the biggest & greatest moments in WWE history for me.

I don't know how the Cody Rhodes news is bigger than this.
This is like Jordan coming back to play for the Wizards.

Tonight during Raw, I even noticed that and said to my girlfriend, "They are gonna do Austin vs. Owens at Mania I bet!" I hope it does happen. I legit will mark out. Austin doesn't have to even have an actual match. Owens would be fine taking a stunner from Steve and putting him over. He is his favourite wrestler after all. No doubt. I bet it’ll be similar to Bret in ‘10. But hey, any appearance is fun. That’s the concept WWE is banking on. To me it does nothing. It hurts Owens if he loses or gets taken out and does nothing for Steve. Why can’t this be rolled into a current story that would actually elevate a story or guys. If it’s gonna be bland Austin comes out, then Owens challenges him and there it is. Big time Meh. Every store WWE each exist in a vacuum and all seem like a one off.

He's not going to rise above his current level.

Yes being in a high profile match with STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN in his first match in almost 20 years is really gonna hurt Owens if he loses lmao right

Cena is definitely up there behind Austin and Hogan.

Cena is definitely up there behind Austin and Hogan. I agree, he is actually a movie star now and everyone knows who John Cena is and that he is a wrestler. He is pop culture now.

While Hogan, Andre, Flair, Austin, and Rock broke into general pop culture because of or while they were active in the pro wrestling world, Cena largely became bigger after his commitments to Hollywood started overshadowing his in-ring career.

While Cena became bigger after because his Hollywood career, he was still widely known during his wrestling career even by non fans.

Austin Rock Hogan Cena are easily the biggest names in wrestling history. When it comes to casuals and non fans I’ve heard many of them name these stars when wrestling comes up as a conversation.
Andre Bruno and many more can be named also. Flair Taker Lesnar Mysterio are also some real popular names... HHH HBK etc too many names that I’ve heard people about in regards to wrestling.

If Austin is indeed coming back to wrestle Owens, I'll bet Punk is going to be pissed off - this was the dream match/feud he always wanted... although, it should've happened over 10 years ago. That was the time for Austin to come out of retirement - not now, when he's closer to sixty. I'm not sayng Owens won't nail it given the chance - but everyone wanted that Austin/Punk feud/match.

I’m sure he doesn’t care at this point. How much can you get from a match with Steve Austin who is damn near 60?

I doubt Punk would be pissed off, guy seems to have balanced and reasonable approach to his perspectives. unlike some of his fans. 😉

I’ll be honest, people hate on Goldberg for coming back and he’s in phenomenal shape for a guy his age. Granted his matches aren’t great, but it’s awesome to see some of our favorites back in some capacity. I legit lol’ed at that photoshopped Austin pic. If he does return it needs to be a squash and he needs to wear the shorts and sleeveless shirt. No need to risk him and put him in a long match. Granted, if it doesn’t happen I’m not losing any sleep.

How sad it’s the year 2022. And WWE is bringing in Johnny Knoxville. And relying on.Stone Old, Ronda Rousy, Bill Oldberg Brock LesnarAnd if wasn’t fired Shane McMahon.

Give me more Austin, Goldberg, Rock, Cena, Hogan , Shane McMahon, Ronda, Ric Flair, Lesnar, Bret Hart... Cody Rhodes soon, bring in some other guys from AEW or IMPACT or NWA or ROH or wherever, maybe some more guys from the RA era/Attitude Era... the more the better!

He has one of the most iconic looks in wrestling history so entering a match without his vest and trunks would be wrong.

Hell yeah, I’ll take any of my favorites against the likes of a “Happy Corbin and his minion” and whatever other jobbers WWE has. No offense, but these gimmicks are garbage. I get what you’re saying, but Stone Cold in shorts and T’s is also an iconic look as well. Idk if Austin still looks good in his getup. At least for Austin the whole non wrestling gear works.
