comparing scanning a $30 ultimate to get a diff $30 ultimate and scanning a $5 box of twinkies for a $60 video game is the worst comparison i have ever seen on this site.

Bought 2 bags of sand at Lowes this morning. Clerk scanned 1 bag twice. brb gonna go turn myself into the police It's almost like you bought the exact same bag or something. Undertaker and Batista aren't the same thing. Let me put it this way so you can understand. If you paid 30 bucks for the new Undertaker RSC exclusive, but they sent you something you didn't pay for instead, you'd be upset right? Or would you be completely fine with that? If you say you would complain you're a hypocrite. If they sent me an Ultimate Batista instead, I wouldn’t be upset. |

Worked for a big box corp and mom n pop shop for years. I also helped a friends dad conduct "inventory" at a battery store. This type of inventory discrepancy was adjusted and never counted as loss (theft). The programs used flagged things such as this and recognized that an employee or self-check customer may have seen 2 similar boxes and scanned one twice instead of each individual sku. It happened all the time. 🤷♂️ How often do you think people go to Target or Walmart, buy cases of soda for 3/$13 or whatever the deal may be, and just scan their case of Coke 3 times instead of scanning their Coke, Sprite, and Fanta individually? Pretty often I’m sure. Constantly. |

I'm glad I could give you another joke to run into the ground like you do with the Hogan jokes 😘 and you have yet to explain why grandma doesn't deserve to go to jail for ringing up 7-up instead of root beer. well? in all seriousness, no i would not be mad because mistakes happen. not ringside but target actually did send me a kane instead of taker and they refunded me and let me keep the kane, so i kinda wish it would happen again ha. so the difference between your example is that they did it by mistake and will make it right in the end by either refunding you, replacing the item and sometimes letting you keep the item they sent by mistake like Target did for me. the difference between your twinkies comparison and what is actually happening in this situation is people are ringing up a nearly identical item from the same manufacturer that's the same exact price. where as in your example, you mention someone ringing up (unknown amount) boxes of Twinkies in exchange for a much higher priced electronics item and possibly having a huge discrepancy in price. that's the difference. and thank you for the material. |
