What new figure releases do you think we need to reignite some excitement in the WWE Mattel line?
I'm talking about the equivalent of a Mr T or Chyna. First time in the line figures.
For me it would be Jesse Ventura, Captain Lou Albano and Zeus.

What I'm hearing is "first time in the line characters that could make for multiple looks down the line but you still go for their first figure in case it winds up being one and done", in which case, I'll say:

Not really sure what big names are left that Mattel could pump out to “revitalize “ the line. Steiners would be one but after that not a lot of main event talent. I am referring to FTITL though. Some re paints of previously released talent could help I guess. Eg LOD

For me personally, I'd like to see more WCW/NWO era legends available, including first time figures, more obscure names, tag teams, women, managers, referees, announcers, wrestlecrap, etc. to build a deeper roster of the characters I grew up watching. Not just the same legends we've seen many times before.
But honestly I think what's really needed for the legends collectors, is a new model to offer a larger selection of more obscure legends, ideally produced on demand or something similar, and structured in a way that sales of thousands are not needed. Though the industry probably isn't quite there yet, I think this kinda system might develop eventually.

I was thinking about this earlier today as I was eating dinner and in my opinion a WM 8 Hulk Hogan Elite could be one of the top sellers ever for Mattel. Think about it, Red and Yellow Hulk with the American Flag in the middle of his shirt with Hulk at the top and Hogan at the bottom. Accessories could include the eagle WWE title which belongs to Hulk and the USA flag that could fit in Hogan's hand. In my opinion that is the definite version of Hulk Hogan we need considering we already got WM 3 Hulk with DM. Of course I would not be against another mid 80's Hogan but I think we would all prefer the Mega Powers version but would understand the desire for another WM 3 Hogan considering many people don't want to pay over 100 dollars for DM Hulk Hogan. I am pinning all my hopes on more Hogan figures at WM axxess.
