Steve had an Instagram post a few days ago with the ljn carded figures of hulk and dibiase and one man gang and bam bam. Felt like a hint. He's just trying to complete his MOC collection. Someone suggested it was a hint in his mentions. He shot it down. handsome_collector I think these are hints of what’s coming next! 🤞🏽 actionfigureattack Handsome_collector nope. That’d be an expensive way to tease something. but he didn’t directly deny it 👀

Oh man… I love my Ultimate Hulk Hogan figures, but I don’t want to keep on buying 2-packs. I still have Zeus and Terry Funk sealed up mint in their boxes. Speaking of which, if anyone’s interested in Zeus or Funk, let me know. Also, I know Hulk sells big-time, but I’d be surprised to see another HH in the Coliseum line anytime soon. And, what could the Hogan figure be? Which attire? let Zeus breathe brother

Some food for thought: Nikolai Volkoff is a no-brainer for this line, in my opinion. He was a big name during the mid-80s, and his figure was one of the more heavily-produced in the beginnings of the LJN line.
In the Retro discussion thread, it was suggested that his Retro fig didn't have his famous "USSR" t-shirt due to recent events, which is understandable.
My question is IF he gets put into the CC line, what's the best way that they could match his LJN figure's look? Maybe a plain red t-shirt with yellow trim?

I think he come with a plain red soft goods T-shirt. Honestly, if we can’t get a USSR shirt or a Soviet flag then I wouldn’t want an ultimate Nikolai. Just pair Sheik with Hacksaw or Hogan

Any line referencing LJN should have Nikolai Volkoff in it. I'm hoping we don't get just a generic red shirt. Obviously I get why they would do it if they do but this isn't for Target or Walmart, it's a niche collector product sold on their website. Not a deal breaker but I hope they can slip it in there somewhere. Buying a Volkoff figure with a USSR shirt doesn't condone anything that's going on right now.

Like I said, it was a just a theory that someone had brought up as to why it was missing from his Retro fig (which is also a niche collector product not sold in retail stores).

Instead of the red sweater with the USSR or CCCP on the front, they could do this jacket:

Volkoff with a red suit would be cool too. He always wore that on Tuesday night Titans.

I think there is a zero percent chance that you see hammer and sickle or USSR even if it's only through Mattel Creations... Although I can guarantee the custom community will have Soviet flags and tshirts flooding social media within days of the announcement

Look, I somewhat understand the whole Chief Jay Strongbow decision on Mattel's part and various other choices to avoid controversy. But to completely avoid recreating a shirt a character wore because it has the flag or letters of a no longer existent country is baffling. And before someone brings up the fact that the USSR was communist. My parents fled a Communist country. I understand the horrors of communism all to well and I think this is pretty weak.
If this is where Mattel draws the line then don't produce any items with the flags or imagery of any country (even the USA) because every country has committed some atrocity in the past.

I don't disagree with you, I'm just saying I'm very confident that Mattel is NOT going to wade into those waters for an action figure

My "commentary" was directed at Mattel lol.
