Wish the shirt had the red trim around the end of the sleeves and collar like Elite 16 CM Punk did with the black, but other than that it looks fantastic. The LJN Figure it's based off of didn't have red trim...so that's gonna be the motivation for leaving the trim out |

With the Hot Rod shirt w/ red trim being the default look of the shirt for decades, seems like that was probably the only version available for them to use. |

Ok so the series 3 pairing really had no connection, so I think all our educated guesses on pairings can be thrown out the window.
I really want Captain Lou in this line. If they do a SDCC exclusive of him and Lauper this year, I don’t see a coliseum collection coming any time soon.

In the latest Kyle Peterson video, he mentioned talking to the Mattel team Mania weekend, and said they are having issues with the copyright for the Albano shirt on the LJN fig. If that’s true, and they’d have to go without the caricature style shirt, I’m not sure I’d want that figure. The shirt is a huge part of the package.

I was wondering about Albano's shirt but figured there wouldn't be any issues since I believed the WWE owned that image since they used to sell that shirt. Whereas the Piper panther was just something he wore a bunch of times for a period.

Plus think we should have as many people from Wrestlemania 1 as we can get. Plus like some of her music. Plus she didn’t murder anyone. Plus we need more women in Ultimate form. And I’ve been scouring the Q&A forum, Mania weekend interviews, figure influencers videos, etc- mostly in hopes of details on CC (next wave, line stability, etc). Best info I’ve heard is Bill, himself, calling this his “favorite line to work on.” I’m really hoping that means it keeps going a long time and with lots of depth! |

Tbh never had the LJN but if they were planning to do another UE Piper like a early 90s then I think I’d have preferred a red trunks coliseum collection Piper

High: Big John Studd, Iron SHeik, Nikolai, Beefcake, Valentine, Mr Wonderful, Bruno Sammartino, Davey Boy Smith, Steamboat, Cowboy Orton, Vince, Hacksaw, Honky Tonk Man, Warlord
Maybe: Hillbilly Jim, Bundy, SD Jones, Muraco, Tito, Rick Martel, Kamala, One Man Gang

I highly doubt Steve will respond with any substance, but this could launch a nice discussion here. I have absolutely no insider knowledge, but based on what we’ve seen lately in other Mattel lines, I’d guess most of this is pretty solid. I’d probably put Boss Man and Race down a notch to “High.” Samartino might bump down to “Maybe” for me- I know he had an LJN, but I think of him as more from the generation before. Honky is in the “Very High” group, I’d think. Muraco had a fig relatively recently, so I’d bump him up to “High.” I really don’t know how to differentiate the “Maybe” from the “Low” categories. As for “Very Low,” the only surprising ones, who I SO hope you’re wrong about, is Demolition (they’re at the top of my want list for this line). Also, while I’m not clamoring for Ultimate Edition managers and announcers, the fact they are making an Ultimate Bischoff makes me think Ultimate Albano, Heenan, Jimmy Hart, and Mean Gene are strong possibilities. What do you all think?

I just got series 2 in the mail yesterday and what a masterpiece! I wasn’t truly prepared for the packaging since I didn’t purchase the first set. The packaging is almost better than the actual figures lol.
Also, it’s given me an excuse to watch Rick Rude matches / promos since I almost know nothing about him. Btw, any recommendations would be appreciated!
