Hey gang,
Have there been any pictures of the Hulk and Funk (good name for a musical duo!) figures outside of the packaging with all their accessories? I can’t remember.

PS: To echo a bunch of people’s sentiments, I REALLY hope that these are easier to get than the No Holds Barred set.

I just took a look at the Q&A w/Steve aka AFA Official Thread.
In it, Steve wrote: “The Hogan/Funk Coliseum Collection set will not be made to order. You’ve seen pretty much final product already so it’s too far along to go the Cody route.
I’m hoping the experience for this one is more like the Retro sale that lasted a few hours.”
What do you guys think about that? I wasn’t too interested in the Retro set, so I’m not too aware of how that experience went when the set went up for order. But what Steve said implies that it wasn’t anything like the infamous 7 Minute NHB Sell Out. Man, I hope this set is up for at least a couple of hours.

I wasn't interested in the Retro's either but I do remember being able to catch it when it was for sale, I know it did sell quickly either way though especially if someone is working during that short time frame and can't jump onto a computer/get decent wifi. |

I wasn't interested in the Retro's either but I do remember being able to catch it when it was for sale, I know it did sell quickly either way though especially if someone is working during that short time frame and can't jump onto a computer/get decent wifi. No problem!  There’s so much going on in all the threads, it’s easy to miss stuff. And I always appreciate when someone posts something that addresses a question or concern of mine. Even if the blasted thing is up for one hour, that would make it a hell of a lot easier to get than the NHB set. If they limit them to a couple sets per person, that would help. At least in (not Austin) theory. |

Well brother, from now until it goes up for sale, remember the Demandments. Well I hope they at lease let us know when these will go up for order then. Not be like Amazon or target that have random preorder windows. This is actually not good news if Steve HOPES this will last longer than the retros of a couple hours. Not a retro fan so I didn't bother with those. I imagine there are not that many retro collectors out there compared to Ultimates |

The Retros set lasted a few hours - around 5 hours I think, but might've been less.
Given their link to the Hasbros and the value of that line on the secondary market then I'm sure that was a big scalper target as well, but the numbers held-up on that occasion. I seem to remember the Major Pod guys saying that over half the sets went very quickly (maybe in the first 10 minutes? Or the first hour? Maybe someone can remember the details?) which supports that assumption.
They were limited to 2 sets person; I'm hoping Mattel will produce more of the next Retros set when that goes up at the end of the August so they might see out the day as I remember a lot of people at work then missed-out.
But it sounds like Mattel's insistence of selling so few of the SDCC exclusive won't be applied as tightly to either the Retros or the Coliseum Collection at this stage.

I think these will do better that the retros and will have a higher demand. But it sounds like that is the only comparison they have at this point. I hope things gets better over time. And i hope im able to get these because a tribute line to my childhood is something ive been waiting for, for a long time! |

I would love to see some more of the odd, LJN-specific attires in these..
Personally, my two-pack would be Jake the Snake (purple boots) vs. Rick Rude (pink and purple tights).

Call me speculative but in a lot of the Mr. T Ultimate product shots, we see a new Piper getting carried. Not an UE but a heel Piper would be a perfect addition to this line, especially since I have the OG LJN figure.
I'm super excited to get these but I hope it's not a nightmare to order, but considering the Retros lasted a long time, I have faith these will too.
