Can’t wait for people to not order one then complain about “scalpers” after people start receiving them and trying to sell them. Lol - yep, same thing is already happening with the ring, EVERYONE had the opportunity to buy. This is NOT scalping, and all the entitled babies that complain about not having figs (or the ring) they passed on, make me laugh! I don’t totally agree with the scalping statement. There will be people who don’t buy this now. There will be people who want to get another one. There will be people buying these with the intent to sell. It’s not the same as walking into Target and buying all the UE Macho Man stock they have and throwing it up online, and one can only blame themselves for not buying now, but it’s still a bit of scalping if you can sell it for $70, $80, or whatever it may be. |

Same thing with ring! If someone chooses not NOT to buy now, then should I just sell them a Cody or ring for retail cause I’m a good person and/or feel sorry for them? No way, my money will have been tired up for a year… You state “if” you can sell it $70 or $80, in this situation, the BUYER has created his/her own limited supply, not the SELLER in the case of scalping. Quite honestly, we should be calling it “buyer stupidity”, not scalping. |

The way I look at it, scalping is buying something with the intent to sell it at a higher price to make a profit regardless if it could be viewed as scummy (retail inventory) or fair game (like this). A year from now they’ll be able to take advantage of the fact that it can’t be bought anymore, and people will be out there who are new collectors wanting one, people who wish they bought one originally, etc. |

There's nothing nefarious about Mattel offering this and then making Elites or Basics of Cody before these ship. This is an Ultimate Edition from his debut. A very special, limited fig, that won't be duplicated.
Also, yeah if you are aware of this, pass on it willingly, and then complain about the eBay prices there's really not gonna be much sympathy to go around. Just buy it. You know you are gonna want it when it comes out.

I think the Jazzwares AEW supreme edition is better value for money considering you get 2 figures in the set. I wonder if anyone who ordered the supreme version didn't want to order this one.
