Just like the cartoons turtle offering, it’s great!!! Gives collectors chance to get a figure without selling out fast. I understand this figure is unique with all the deco for the soft goods, so the price doesn’t bother me tbh, however moving forward if successful the sweet spot for pricing should be 35.00

Hey Steve I'm glad the Mattel team decided to try this sort of thing out, and even though I'm not very active as someone who suggests these sorts of things on the board, I've definitely been a supporter of the made to order model.
I actually just placed an order for two Ultimate Codys just a few minutes ago. I'd been meaning to do it but I've been pretty busy over the past few days since SDCC and I was contemplating the amount I should get (I settled at two one MOC and one loose). This model definitely gets my support for future projects, for both figures and accessories/dioramas.
Once again I'd like to thank you for your willingness to listen to supporters of the line and I'm also grateful that you give your time to provide information and a glimpse into the thought process behind the line that I've been collecting for so many years.

The model is great. Would love to see this for ultimate legends.

So I already have a Cody, just not by Mattel. So while the figure looks great, I don't need it.
I do like having a unique item that one can only get on MC. It feels special. I also REALLY like that it's made to order. I want to see more of that.
I do not like that it won't be out for almost a year. I understand it takes a long time to get an entire group of figures made from start to finish ... but that's a LONG time.
FYI, you put a FTIL on MC ... you have my money.

If you buy neca tmnt on the neca store is the same thing, they give you a week or two to buy, once the window closes they go into production. Cody Rhodes will go into production once the window closes. Figures take 9-12 months in making, just the same as the new gen ring took a year. |

I ordered the day it went up right after I was luckily able to get the NHB set. If I had waited it would have been either because I was waiting for my next paycheck to come in (if I was on a budget) or just because I knew I had some extra time so there wasn't a need to "rush". I love the figure, but I could see people turned off by the price point even though its an "exclusive". Came to $55 for me...that price for one figure is high, especially when Ringside is charging that price for the Mega Maniacs 2 pack exclusive and I can get free shipping or a discount. And without any final pictures, from the way it's shown it looks like just a regular Cody, even though the description says it...picture is worth 1000 words. Also if I wasn't ordering it would be because I'm waiting for the regular elite release or thinking there will be another Ultimate coming anyway. I am 10000000% in favor of how it's being offered. It's so much more refreshing knowing I'm going to get something instead of having to be on the page the exact time, making sure my payment is ready, etc. Even if I wasn't buying it. I am still 10000000% in favor of made-to-order for cool exclusives like this. |

I like the made to order idea (with the possible exception of the price, but I imagine it being made to order might have some influence on that) and would like to see it for future figures especially if it's the only way it will get made. |

That being said, you have my money for any which way you want to market and sell retros. I gotta say those hart foundation retros are bad, but i will continue supporting the line in hopes you guys continue to improve it down the road. |

Yes, I like the offer of a made to order item.
The only thing on my mind is regarding the packaging. I know you've said there would be a window to be able to view the figure, but how specifically? Like the several RSC exclusives with the tear-open window, or just by removing the special outer packaging? This may be very nit-picky, but as a MOC collector I don't really like the tear-open window. I feel opening the window no longer makes it totally "mint", but as I said that may just be super nit-picky on my part. I did order 2 of these, so without knowing exactly how it will come I was going for either having 1 MOC and 1 loose or both in package depending on how they were put together.

I like the figure (the box is sick too) but I'm not ordering because I wanted to see what the entrance jacket looks like. I'm in favor of made to order. I hope this is the best way for other exclusive figures to be released too. As long as their some type control when it comes to how many a person can order. So enough of us can grab one too. Especially since its a Mattel website. I always had caution to buy a figure from another website that wasn't Ringside Collectibles, who sold previous SDCC exclusives. |

Haven’t ordered yet on the fence..
Overall I like the figure but for $50 shipped and a year wait just doesn’t seem worth it...
I think I’d like it more if Mattel disclosed how many were made.
It would add to the limited edition feel and increase the value.
Without that I think it’s a cool figure in a bulky box... and there will be plenty of more Cody’s in the pipeline for cheaper that might even be better...
