I pre ordered the supreme Cody. But I’m thinking of pre ordering this ultimate Cody mainly for the future resale value since it’s being made to order.

Who likes the figure but isn’t ordering and why? Are you in favor of how it’s being offered as a made to order item? If this figure isn’t for you, does the made to order model still interest you for other items? im a fan of made to order. But not on something like this. As this is a figure that would sell at retail. This just seems like a standard figure with a high price tag for no reason. There is nothing special to it. I agree with this. This Cody seems like it could've been in the main line, or even as an Elite figure. Cody figures are obviously going to sell well and won't be a figure that will rot in retail. The special packaging is cool but I'm not buying it because of the special box. It seems to me like this sort of format should go towards things that fans want but won't survive in retail. What about a UE 2-pack of a classic tag team, or another Elite 4-pack like the ones at Target? Maybe an obscure legend that people clammor about but you just know wouldn't do well in a typical retail environment. These kind of sets definitely have an appetite but I understand the idea that they're a bit niche and have a higher pricepoint. This sort of distribution seems perfect for those types of projects, and I am sure that Mattel would see a high return. But for an Ultimate Edition Cody, it just didn't seem very necessary to me. |

Ordered two and thinking about getting a extra Love the made to order model,its got that special feeling of being a MC exclusive but everybody has the chance to get it with no fear of missing out. Imo this is a perfect way of doing things. |

I showed my son and his interest level was low. My best assumption is due the over saturation of his figures by the other company. I do like the concept of made to order items. Something like multipacks/box sets comes to mind as my ideal use of this model. BATB nWo, Raw segment with Lawler + Vince + Warrior + breakable picture, Evolution with all the belts, evolution of a particular Superstar (Taker, Rey, Warrior, Macho), etc. I would also like to see sets that don’t necessarily need crowdfunding but also may be difficult to find a spot at retail. Pipers Pit, Snake Pit, backstage blue WWE wall, etc. Accessories like a steel cage, skirts, ropes, etc. for the scale ring would be another suggestion. |

I intend to order but haven't yet solely for financial reasons and truthfully I'm not sure if I want 1 or 2. Cody is my favorite right now and I'd love to get one to be signed at a later date. It being made to order is great and I think it's a great way to get people things they want and otherwise wouldn't be made. |

I dont collect current roster wrestlers mainly just collect legends but I am in favor of this concept and think this model can work for future offerings, hopefully more legend focused. So I did purchase to support this model hoping it will be successful and continue in the future. Also, as a MOC collector the unique packaging was neat and feel it will look great on the shelf. |

PayPal offers it and there's an app called Klarna that you can use to do it for just about anything. |

As much as I love all of the special one off packaging ideas, they all look a bit of a mess together - no conformity. I would have preferred a special outer package like the new gen arena box with a normal Ultimate box inside. This is the only reason I didn’t order. |

Finally caved and ordered 1. Pay in 4 is really helpful and makes stomaching the high price much easier. The grand shame of it all is the brutal year long wait though. I get it; it's the nature of made-to-order. But man what a major bummer.

This is dead wrong. That crowd fund worked because of the late addition of the Ultimate Macho. Period. End of story.
I think it was the addition of another Ultimate figure that did the trick, not just because it was the Macho Man. When it became known that we would get at LEAST 2 Ulitmates with this as long as 5k sold, that is what got people on board. Doink was a 2nd tier goal and there was no way to tell if he would be made after we hit 5k. Honestly believe if it was Razor, Bret, Piper, HBK as the early bird special, the numbers would be the same Exactly. The mistake (that Mattel corrected) was initially only "guaranteeing" one figure at the 5000 mark. Any of those you mentioned as the second would have likely had the same effect but the long term "value" or "appeal" are in the items (Entrance and Doink) that won't be seen elsewhere. |

I like this idea of made to order, but I'm passing on this particular figure. Just personally don't have much interest in Cody. But, I for sure will participate if there are different figure choices moving forward.
