It's been many years since I've watched WWE but I would be remiss if I didnt bring up how great his product was in the 80s/90s.So many memorable characters/matches/moments during his run as the head of the company.I know he wasnt everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed em in the booth for the most part. And cant forget the Mr. McMahon character itself. Entertaining as all hell during AE/RA eras. One helluva heel. Feel free to post your fav moments/matches from his career. Thank you Vince. Enjoy retirement

His feud with Austin was legendary and drew in millions of fans. Not a fan of him personally but the evil boss character was a masterpiece and you just wanted to hate him. We can never forget 'It's me Austin'
I wasn't really a fan of his stuff from the mid/late 00's but I always found him great during comedy segments.

Does he leave a bit of a complicated legacy? Yes. Did I agree with all of his decisions over the years? Hell no. However, he created something I’ve loved on the whole since I was 4 years old. For that all I can say is thank you Vince McMahon.

HE’S GONNA PUKE! HES GONNA PUKE!
I always think of him yelling that at Droz in Beyond the Mat.
My favourite story of his though was in the early days when he was struggling to sell tickets for an event. He asked the promoter how much the physical chairs cost and bought them off the promoter (they were foldable steel chairs). He then got all his wrestlers to sign the chairs and advertised that whoever bought the tickets would get to keep the chairs as well. Sold them all.
One of the sharpest minds in the business.

"You see JR...I enjoy ruining lives. It...it turns me on."
(I keep thinking of Vince quotes that I love, and that's one of them.)

Almost everything post Mr. McMahon heel turn he did disgusted me even as a kid. BUT there are two things I remember being "good" about Vince and I really wish the person he was in these instances is the person he really was all the time.
I liked the "1, 2, 3 he got 'im. NO!" commentator. He was so mild mannered, it's really crazy how polar opposite Mr. McMahon was and Vince the real person. I'm really at a loss for words at the huge difference between characters.
I do appreciate the Hall of Fame, moreso the earlier days when it was more of an intimate event for friends and family. The 1994-1996 classes were based on Vince putting in people who he believed helped his father build WWWF. They are mostly people who don't get mentioned a lot anymore, don't get figures made much if at all and didn't have and still don't have a lot of merchandise but he had a huge loyalty to many of them for many years. 2004 and 2005 was a bit similar as those guys were mostly guys who helped Vince build WWF for the Rock N Wrestling era. I still appreciate the 2006 and beyond classes and have said times before, WWE Hall of Fame is just as legit as baseball and football halls.

Although I liked him on commentary in the mid-90s, I have hated Vince McMahon since the Attitude era, but I can't deny that he is responsible for one of my few happy memories of childhood.
