Watched Iron Man, IM2 & The Incredible Hulk. TIH is so underrated its phenomenal. Amazing movie & Stark coming into the bar at the end still makes me giddy. I really enjoy the feel of TIH's first half. But once Bruce and Bets reunite and the movie goes into the college campus fight, it loses me and doesn't regain me until the aforementioned tag. |

Guardians 3 definitely the best film outing Marvel has had in a long while. Tone was there, very little comedic moments out of place. Drax, Groot, and Mantis were actual characters this time. The gold people had a purpose.
If there were some negatives, I would've liked a little more time at the start to establish where the group is mentally. And why is the MCU doubling itself in consecutive films. L&T shared elements with MoM, now this film follows up Quantumania with essentially the same villain, and resolved with barely an inconvenience following all that buildup.

Honestly it might be for the best so they can get their narrative and connective tissue restored. the covid delays really stymied the storytelling of the MCU

Finally got around to the GOTG Holiday Special. A tad better than I was expecting, provided a bit of the stuff I previously said was missing from the 3rd movie's start. Honestly left me hankering for more holiday hijinks, wishing it was more of an anthology structure. Give the major Quill-Mantis story more time to breathe.
So many musical interludes though. And no joke, that goddang band is the worst thing to be introduced into the MCU. Including the screaming goats and the Eternals.

I went back and rewatched the finale for Secret Invasion again the other day - it’s not as bad as the first watch. But overall it just seemed like a miss.
These Disney+ shows need to step up or just do away with them. I’ve always wanted quality over quantity and it’s no different here.

Agreed and I firmly believe that the D+ shows would have been better and received better if their original release dates to sync up with the movies were kept in place. The MCU narrative(one of its strongest attributes) is in tatters currently. Ms Marvels end credits scene is a prime example of this....their sync is blown completely for the time being & they have a lot of work to do to get it back on track IMHO. |

Yeah Secret Invasion had a rough ending but I still enjoyed the series for the most part. Really looking forward to Loki 2 this week,didnt know the release was this soon

Loki season 2 starts streaming tonight! hopefully most of the reviews about it being "plodding, meandering" etc are wrong because I NEED this to be good. Also seems like it should be a vital building block for Kang stuff. |

I want to like this show….don’t know why they bothered introducing the time thing given the length it was a thing. Like that’s a pretty powerful mechanic to have in play, both to tell a story (so much back story to play in, 400+ years, apparently - hell could be infinite) & to naturally bump the tension up… wasn’t one that had to immediately be shut off, they wrote it to be that, but it’s off the table in 20 minutes. I like McDonalds a lot.
