Cool. Now everyone can take the phrase “conversion kit” out of their vocabulary. If anything, they’ll offer different skirts and ropes for *this* one.
Absolutely buying this. I have no need for the Kane, but that’s alright. After getting the New Gen ring, the price feels fair. It really is an incredible ring.

First off, hats to whoever thought about giving Kane the raised flames on his torso. I've been clamoring for these kind of details for years. Second off, I'm curious whether or not Kane will have the glossy boots and mask like the first proto? The second proto has a dull finish, which imo is not as nice. It's also super interesting to see how fast we got another ring. If Mattel pulls off a Nitro ring, I'm in. Hopefully, they could include unique Nitro ringposts.

It's already been discussed on here, that the New Gen ring is blue and thus they won't offer a conversion kit as it would have blue turnbuckles in the middle. You might say it's not a big deal, but this is an official WWE product, they can't half-ass it like that. Now that a black ring is out, they can release extra ring aprons and such, I assume. But they probably won't release a RAW IS WAR one because it's a selling point for this set.
So a conversion kit couldn't come with the necessary parts in black? I guess not because this is just a clear business tactic by Mattel to sell another ring. Sucks that there's little to no loyalty with this company but they gotta keep the wheels turning I guess. No, it really couldn’t. A conversion kit to make the ring black is basically already the whole ring. They were never going to just sell black posts and red ropes. 8k is not a high enough number to do that and there’s no guarantee that many people are even opening up their sets or would buy them. It has nothing to do with loyalty and everything to do with business sense. |

As a New Gen backer pretty annoyed I'm basically forced to buy another ring to get this Kane. There was no need to force a bundle on people who just got a ring when both of these would have sold well on their own. This could have been 3 separate items that would have all sold well. A Full ring set, an upgrade pack with the pads, post and skirts and Kane by himself. I barely have room for the ring I just got, why would I need another so soon?

I wanted a Raw is War ring more than New Gen, but I got it on eBay for $100 so I figured why not. I honestly didn’t think they’d do Raw so soon or I’d have waited, but I’m still glad to have this one as well. |

The design and colors on the base of those rings are not the same as this. The many base pieces of the new gen ring were all blue, not just the posts. To have all of the blue pieces in that ring switched to black would require nearly 75% of the whole ring to be re-painted. |

What is so hard to understand about the fact that those rings and sets were all made in way higher numbers than 8000? If they did a run of conversion kits that small, and were willing to let you make your ring look ugly in the process, those sets would be incredibly expensive just to justify having them made. On top of that, only backers would ever have had access to this ring. I can’t believe some of the replies are so childish. Hate to break the illusion for you but real life ring frames were rarely the same color as the blue post. That was an artistic liberty mattel took. Secondly theres no reason they couldnt have offered a full ring and an upgrade pack as 2 different skus. Making both parties happy. |

I literally said yesterday “ok that’s enough I gotta cool down on buying” thanks Mattel for adding the Kane knowing I would HAVE to buy 2 of these to get the Kane moc and loose
But these are amazing and we are gonna need this ring to complete the raw arena when it comes out
To all those who keep talking about conversation kits, what happens if someone only bought one new gen arena and want to display both rings? The conversation kit don’t really make a whole lot of sense, but I would have preferred it just not to spend $140 lol

Steve is actually doing people a favour by keeping the book end box when usually figures that come with rings don’t come with boxes, so for those that want the book ends it’s cool he’s managed to get that. but this is still $140 for a Kane you can’t see, I’m really glad I became a loose collector a couple of years back. |

That Kane is awesome, although I wish they had done the head from the Summerslam basic. The hair doesn’t seem quite right for that era…A little too short.
