Personally I hope it’s a cell with multiple additional tiers for ultimate figures and. Time period accurate announce tables, floor mats barricades other arena accessories. I feel like if we get the stage that’s all we are getting.

i have such a dilemma. i dont even have room to display the new gen ring, but i want this ring too because it depicts my favorite time in wrestling. i dont want to get rid of the new gen ring either.
im honestly just going to wait until this thing is actually IN stock before i order it. lets see how it is when people start getting it/reviewing it, etc.
that being said, im very happy we are getting rings again...but i do wish they had a little better sense of timing here. a lot of people JUST got their new gen ring...now its like "hey here's another giant ring for you to buy!"
and i know nostalgia is still big, but it would have been more interesting right now to get a CURRENT day full scale ring.

With the Attitude Era ring being cast in black plastic, down the road they could release turnbuckles with modern logos, modern ring skirts, those giant cylindrical ring post covers, and a plastic fake LED board that can attach to the posts under the ring so it can be converted to a modern ring without releasing an entire ring separately. I mean, I guess it would also work on a New Gen ring. The blue would be all covered up with the ring skirts and post covers.

Would've made sense to put the Austin UE with this. 25th anniversary of Kane debut and of Hell in a Cell this month makes me think we might get the cell rather than the stage. Although, if I could choose I would pick the stage over the cell. |

Austin has been done a billion times and once you have one Austin you pretty much have most. Unless, we were getting one with colored braces and a new scan. I think the stage would be the way to go, but I don't think Mattel would go back to back on stages. HIAC would be awesome, even though at this stage I wouldn't buy one due to lack of space. If, there is a cell then it must include Undertaker and Mankind. |

Well new gen backers were always informed that the ring would be made available in other ways over time. I don't think that's an issue. I do think it's kinda a dick move to announce this ring so close to the new gen ring shipping that not everybody (at least internationally) even has theirs yet. And anyone who backed who wants the Kane for Ultimate completionism purposes or whatever has to buy another whole ring to get it. I don't know if 'dick move' is quite the right way to put it when it's reflective of a business understanding they have widespread types of consumers with all different wants/needs, but I get the frustration. Hopefully in the future you'll be able to pick it up if you still want it. also no one is making anyone be a completist. That’s our own mental illness. If you need to be a completist, buy it. Otherwise don’t. I don’t know why people act like Mattel owes them any favors. There was a point where it seemed like Ultimates would be an easy line to complete. 2 releases every quarter or so. My collecting/spending habits were becoming compulsive to the point where I was just spending money on things I didn't even care for. Now, I realized that I bought so many things in my lifetime that will have no future purpose and is just sitting on a shelf collecting dust. I've sold off at least 75 percent of my collection and still feel overwhelmed. It's a headache. I've been getting into minimalism and feel like it's easier to not only make decisions, but also buy things I really want. Most of the stuff we buy has a shelf life and sometimes we won't use many of these things. I had figures that were in pristine condition start to deteriorate and it got me thinking. I'd rather use some of the money to invest, but to experience life... Now I just stick with mainly The Monday Nights Wars roster (sprinkled in with guys I like). |

Maybe Austin’s with the stage? We wouldn't need the Austin, since we already got it. I was meaning that the Austin UE that was released would've made sense to release along side the stage. However, I'm positive they weren't thinking that far ahead. It would be nice to get a UE Vince in War Zone commentary/corporate attire (not sure how likely that would be). I'll still be picking this up, but will part with the Kane. The win in this is that this means there is a plan in place to put out the raw stage so no complaints other than that. Well if you fancy parting with Kane and sending him on a world tour to Ireland, I'd be happy to work out something with you. |
