I normally try to get as much stuff in store as possible just because most big box retailers now ship figures in envelopes, and as a MOC collector that's not a good thing. Also for those of you in the bigger cities if your looking to get something from Target try scanning the figure on the Target app and have them price match the online price. Actually I suggest everyone do this as some waves, mainly the PPV elites, are usually $19.99 online so you'd be saving $3 per figure.

I almost exclusively do pre-orders through RSC (unless it's an exclusive they don't carry). I don't mind paying a little more for something that I will get a little early from a company I trust and that I've been buying from since the Jakks CS days.

this is exactly how I feel, wild Yep. I wish I would have realized this sooner. I think in a way it's like any other addiction. I still like figures, just not the way I used to though. Have you sold any of your stuff? I sold a little bit but the new tax rule makes it kinda wack to sell anything because I don’t want to deal with all that. Wish there was some place that bought out collections near me

Legends chases and AEW chases are the only figures that I will only actively hunt for in stores. Everything else is online. I have a rule against paying more than retail prices for any figure so I wait for discounts before ordering on RSC. This occasionally backfires when certain chase figs sell out (it took me forever to find a chase #126 Mandy Rose) but it usually works.

LoL I have to pay taxes for items I already paid taxes for, plus getting additional Ebay/shipping fees. What a joke.

Prices are definitely pushing me more and more to online shopping for deals. There's no sense in paying $25 for an Elite anymore.

I don't buy enough these days for it to ruin it, but it definitely makes me less willing to pick up something on whim. Target has been doing the smart thing and clearancing out the Legends as the new set comes in, so they always seem to sell (even Stacy when she's $11). I might have caved and got The Acolytes even though I don't like Mattel's execution on the bodies, but at the full price, I'm either gonna skip them or nab them when they're half-off.
My favorite line to collect right now is still the Jakks FKA World of Nintendo Mario/Sonic 2.5 inch scale line. $20 gets you nearly 4 figures in that scale, and I get those BCA vibes when I used to save my allowance for a few weeks and walk away with 4-5 figures. Doing that now would be an actual financial decision with modern 5-6" scale figures of Star Wars or WWE. But for these little guys, it's just a $5-6 each.

The last figure I bought in store was Stacy Kiebler. Other than that it's been Amazon

Your mail carrier will pick up the package from your house. We also deliver boxes for free. Part of the job. That will help with the lines and such. Even if the label isn't printed out? I usually just have them scan a QR code and attach the label for me. My post office has some of the worst service ever. Yeah, good call, you’d have to print the label.
