I'm a little puzzled here. Are they sticking purely to the attires worn by the LJN figures originally? Because they didn't give Funk his green chaps like the LJN had, to differentiate it more from the Legends figure. And they stick so rigidly to Jake that it barely feels different from the Legends chase? Steve wanted the green chaps, Bill wanted the version that we got (he is a huge Funk fan). Steve said they tried giving us both, but they couldn't make it work with the costs. This why bill needs to keep his fandom in check, he needs to remember he's designing for mass release and not himself. Classic case of bill gonna bill. |

Unless Terry's deal is up soon, there would have been way more opportunities to get the tan colored chaps out than the green colored since Funk wore them IRL. This was the perfect chance to get green like the original figure (which is the whole point of this series I Thought) but the OG poster having tan chaps at least adds some reasoning.
I do appreciate the new Branding Iron with handle as the old one was without it

Why are people referencing Hasbro’s with these? I thought they (Bill/Steve) said these were LJN tributes.

Another factor is that he is having health issues so not sure if his deal would be impacted if something were to happen (hopefully, it doesn't). |

Jake's boots and logo placing on his tights line up more with his poster than his figure as well. Then you get to the Rude and it's a Mash-up with Boots/Tights. Makes predicting future looks in the line fun

I’m glad they got Jakes tights right this time. The legends chase didn’t have 2 snake heads. Yes it did. It's the regular that only had 1 head for some reason. That’s right, my mistake. |

I agree that Rude's gear could be flashier, but that's how the LJN looked. So I'll live.

Tre-freaking-mendous. I’m all in on these. First Ultimate Jake, first Ultimate Rude. I’m actually kind of psyched to get an arguably plain Rude as an Ultimate since it matches the Hasbro. Would’ve been fun to have Cheryl on the tights though.
I only wish they’d done an ultimate Damien with numerous points of articulation 🤣 🐍
