It won’t stop me from buying what I want, but I do think straight up rereleases is lame. I don’t treat figures like stock, but having rarer more valuable figures adds to the fun of collecting for me.

Did these warm a lot back when they were released? I remember being able to snag Bret pretty easy and got HHH off Target's website, maybe right before everything got locked down I want to say?

I don’t think either were pegwarmers around here. But they were plentiful in regards that you could find them on the pegs almost until the next waves hit. What's the point re-releasing these Ultimate's without the updated butterfly joints? Makes no sense. Because they are called the “Best of” so they are going to be straight Re-Releases. They’ve been doing “Best of” lines since 2010 and the only time I can remember the “ Best of” being any different was the first Elite Triple H. The first release the figure looked like he was wearing a bad toupee. The Best of figure the hair line looked like it was part of the sculpt with no gap between the hair and head. |

I’m glad they are re-releasing figs now. Me too. A lot of folks who never thought they'd get a Harley Race Elite will now get one soon, and I'm a guy who paid almost 200 for one about three years ago. I think that's pretty great. Bring on re-releases of Akeem, Martel, Bundy, the Von Erichs, the Road Warriors, and all those other high-priced figures people like me missed out on getting because we were late getting into the game or whatever. Not mad at all. Yeah, thats what I'm hoping for as well. I'd add Demolition to that group too. |

I was thinking about selling my loose Bret, just because I've been seriously downsizing any figures bought since the mid-90s. The collection got too big and too much was packed away in containers. I figured I would replace it with any new release.

I myself always buy 2 of everything because I want to keep one for myself and the other to sell if the value becomes high. There’s room for both of those ppl in the figure community. |
