WTH is going on with the women?

I think he’s doing fine. 🤷

I don’t know if he’s intent on destroying women’s wrestling like you said because he’s never given me that impression but yeah his booking of the womens division has been awful since he came in. Bianca went from her great feuds with Becky and Sasha to an underwhelming Bayley one, Damage CTRL is a really weak faction, he HAD to bring back the Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt stuff.. I said it in the Royal Rumble thread but both Bianca and the womens division in general from 2020 till Summerslam 2022 were on a roll and it was great to see it be treated as such but now it’s just bleh even though I think Rhea Ripley winning is a step in the right direction.

Seems fine to me, and Rhea seemed a perfect choice, but then again I couldn’t care less about women’s wrestling.

Women’s wrestling has always been 2nd rate. I would more so blame fans, not WWE; although, WWE didn’t give them that much of a spotlight until the last 5-8 years. The big women fans that I’ve seen are mostly young girls/women or gay guys (no offense meant and I’m not being homophobic in the slightest).

Of course there are straight men that like the women (some are creeps and just like them because the way they look), but typically the men are more well received by fans. Little boys are more likely to like WWE than little girls and they’re going to like people like Reigns, Cena, Rollins, etc. more so than they would Bayley, Becky, Mia Yim, etc. Adults who watch because of their kids and those who actually watch because they want to are typically going to be more interested in the men. During the Rumble, when it was Alexa/Bianca time, people were saying in the Rumble thread that it was “time for a piss break” or even saw one guy say it was “time for a shower” lol. Some fans just don’t care to watch the women, and usually I think it’s because of their abilities/skills (or lack thereof) and not always the booking.

I don’t think Triple H is doing a poor job. I think he’s doing what he can with what he’s got. It’s not always booking’s fault why someone can’t get over. Maybe people just don’t like Mia Yim. I know I don’t.

I do think, however, that either more needs done with the women tag titles or they need to just get rid of them. They don’t have any women’s tag teams other than Damage CTRL or Shayna/Rousey other than just pairing two randoms together (which I think is poor booking that even Vince seemed to love to do) just to have them randomly split up and nothing come of it or they feud for a little (which is an overused feud, let’s be honest). Same for the men, random teaming of two guys just to fill a spot for a match or even for transitional tag champs just for them to randomly split or one turns on the other as usual.

Really? Seemed like a pop to me. Her music hit and once people realized it was her it sounded like cheering. I thought most people hated her and thought that she was dangerous in the ring.

Listen to the pop for her elimination. Nobody wants Nia Jax back. People react to surprises. Even Chelsea Green got a pop at first.

Well the lack of reaction for any of the new girls tells me everything I need to know. Triple H’s idea of what women’s wrestling should be is not working … he doesn’t want them to have compelling storylines or characters.

He thinks just sending them out there and wrestling a 5 star match is enough. The current set of NXT girls are more plain than saltine crackers. All of the women that came from NXT minus Nia, Charlotte, Becky, Alexa and Carmella were abysmal on the mic.

The Divas era had more dynamic characters/compelling stories and mic work. The Bella Twins could keep a crowd more entertained than a Candace LeRae. Vince knew how to book women, triple H does not.
